Trump: “The U.S Will Run Venezuela”

I can't quite grasp it, is it Imperialism or more a return to feudalism? People throw "Dictator" or "Communist" around too freely these days and those two things don't particularly fit this scenario. People often claim Trump is a Dictator, but he doesn't quite fit it and he is rich enough to not need to be a dictator, especially with his families investment in their own Cryptocurrency ventures. He has his fingers in all the pies. Good luck to him I guess, not much anyone can do about it really.

The reason why I focus on Imperialism and Feudalism as these two fit more specifically in what is happening in the United States and more broadly the western world. In order for Trump to be a dictator, he would need to be working for personal gain. (He already has done that in the business world). The moves Trump is pulling looks to be building a new front.

It is hard to judge if he is a bad guy or a good guy. For most of us in the west we only see what the media reports. Make no mistake Russia and other BRICS nations have been making moves. This is where we are all at risk. If you're reading this article the chances are is that you are in the western world and the moves Trump is making will greatly benefit you financially, economically and all elements of your life.

It is also why Trump isn't really getting the resistance from western nations as people thought. We have had Russia and their allies growing for decades, apparently old feuds don't die in those parts of the world and war continues to break out causing financial crisis, death, carnage and a lot of bad things. It is important to note that there is no answer to what is being discussed today. It is more a thought bubble. But let's take a look at the recent movements by the U.S to see how things are going on the global front.

U.S Captures Venezuelan President, Maduro

President Trump has announced the invasion and capture of Venezuela's President, Maduro and this isn't the only military action Trump has been authorising. But compared to the bombings on Somali pirates, destruction of vessels in the sea heading to U.S with "Drugs". Trump has taken a hard approach to boarder enforcement.

Let's just take a moment to realise that narcotics are a commodity, an illegal one but a sought after product and there wouldn't be a market if people weren't purchasing them. Trump has also ordered strikes on Syria, Nigeria, Iran, Yemen and Iraq.

He's move into Venezuela will be more of a U.S Military strategy, while Trump claims "drugs" the nation is well known for it's oil and currently, oil makes the world go round. Venezuela is providing oil which powers machines and provides funds to the nations Trump is bombing.

But is Trump bombing nations or is he bombing countries against us?

A Generation of Forget

For younger readers or those not in the know, the current wars today are remnants of the past, an era of monarchies and grievances that have been passed onto us and will likely continue to pass onto generation onto generation. It is sad but I have long given up trying to look into why we as humans do it. The problem is bigger than me and it isn't my job.

One of the turning points for the current period is when the Twin Towers were hit, I remember it well I was in year 8 on a school holiday to Queensland. What it did was reignite tensions in the middle east and led to one of the longest wars. The world learned that it could never win by destroying a nations military.

Once you disable a nation, remove it's leaders and it's army. It turns to gorilla warfare and that, no army can defeat. Not to mention innocent people get killed, a new enemy is made as vengeance runs through their blood and ongoing gorilla fighting happens.

In the end it cost the U.S and the world Trillions of dollars and achieved next to nothing. The nation was handed back to the Taliban and who knows what it will look like in the future. Hopefully better for everyone.

It serves as a reminder, well for me anyway. That war is pointless and there are no winners.

No War, Yes Please

You might be wondering why it was so easy for the United States to capture Nicolas Maduro, well that is because he went willingly with he's final moments pleading with the united states for no war. He declared he's allegiance to the United States and told Trump he had a friend in Venezuela. He did not want people to die in a pointless war which would have upended the nation and had bigger problems for everyone.

This move is also a different strategy than that involved in Iraq and the middle east. After the failures of the past, The U.S seems to be just taking a heavy handed approach and for the meantime, it seems to be working.

They have scared the pants off most of the world and while many sit back and call Trump a dictator, he isn't and let's not forget that Trump will be getting briefed by the military and advisers and choosing one of the many ways forward.

The world is not like it was in the past and I don't know what tomorrow is going to look like, no one does. But the doomsday clock has been ticking closer to worlds end. We can either sit back and let it continue to tick and have our enemies build forces or, try something different.

Peace should always be the solution, but I am getting old and do not think humans will ever be capable of such a thing. Perhaps our destiny really is self destruction.

Either way, Trumps moves will bring down the cost of living in the western world, reshuffle the power of the west but it comes at a cost for the other nations.

Perhaps, Neo Liberalism has come to it's end and it is time we started to look for new solutions on how we move forward in the modern world. What is it that will sustain humans, enable us to live fulfilling's lives and achieve.
