Puppy Love

Good day motherhood I hope you have all been well it has been a while since I shared a post and I do apologise I have been a little busy and I hope you have all been well.

Today I want to share with you the latest addition to our family, Baily the jack russle. How she came to be is an interesting story and one that as all parents we can probably understand.

Growing up we always had fox terriers and jack russles and they were great for going hunting and can get down rabbit holes. Not so good for hunting wild pigs.

Recently my mums jack Russell passed away from cancer and she has been quite lonely. Dogs in Australia are quite expensive as all breeders are required to be registered and meet certain criteria.

A jack Russell pup is around AUD 3000.

A friend of a friend of a neighbour knew a guy and he was selling them for AUD800 so I thought I'd surprise my mum by getting her one.

At first she was happy but then changed her mind and missed her old dog and wasn't ready. As I'd already paid for the pup and it was dropped off my kids wanted to keep it.

As always, I dont think people start off getting a pet someone always brings one home. So we decided to keep it for the kids.

Our golden retriever Bella is around 12 years old and she has really taken to little baily and been looking after her.

So there we have it! A brand new addition to our home.

I'm happy that your kids now have a new little friend and it's so sweet that Bella is taking care of her pet. Pets really comfort and brings joy to us. Baily sounds Like a blessing from disguise.
