Nuts For Donuts!

This past weekend my family and I discovered a delightful new gem in our community Nuts for Donuts which is the latest addition to our local food scene. With its inviting atmosphere and mouth watering menu filled with sugar it didn't take long for this doughnut shop to become a new Favourite for all of us.

As soon as we stepped inside we were transported back in time. Nuts for Donuts has beautifully recreated the charm of an old school diner complete with cozy booths, colourful walls and retro decor. The warm welcoming ambiance instantly made us feel right at home. The kids had an absolute ball here.

The Doughnuts

The star of our visit, of course was the doughnuts. Nuts for Donuts offers an incredible variety each one more tempting than the last. After much hardship on what to have, we decided to sample a few unique creations the Chocolate Waffle doughnut, the M&M's doughnut and the Biscotti doughnut. Each one was a masterpiece in its own right.

First up was the Chocolate Waffle doughnut. This treat was a fusion of two breakfast favourites all though in Australia these are more of a sweet than breakfast. bringing together the fluffy texture of a waffle with the rich, indulgent flavour of chocolate. Topped with a drizzle of chocolate sauce and a sprinkle of powdered sugar, it was a delightful way to start our tasting adventure.

Next, we tried the M&M's doughnut. This vibrant, colorful doughnut was a hit with the kids. Covered in a sweet glaze and generously topped with crunchy M&M's, it was a perfect blend of crunch and sweetness. The kids loved the burst of chocolate with every bite, and the playful presentation added to the fun

Our final choice was the Biscotti doughnut, a sophisticated treat that catered to more refined tastes. This doughnut was topped with a smooth layer of coffee glaze and sprinkled with crunchy biscotti pieces. The combination of textures and the subtle coffee flavor made it an instant favorite for the adults.

But our indulgence didn’t stop there. Nuts for Donuts also offers a selection of ice cream, which we couldn't resist. The creamy, rich ice cream was the perfect complement to our doughnut feast, rounding off our visit with a refreshing touch.

What made our experience truly special was sharing it as a family. The kids were thrilled by the fun atmosphere and the array of treats, while my partner and I enjoyed the nostalgic diner setting and the quality of the doughnuts. It was a perfect outing that catered to all our tastes and brought us closer together

The combination of delicious doughnuts, charming decor and a family friendly vibe has earned it a top spot on our list of weekend treats.
