No Snowflakes in this Texas' Smokehouse In Australia

No Snowflakes in this Texas' Smokehouse In Australia

First of all, I am not sure of the cultural elements of the middle finger in other countries so no offence please. In Australia we are backwards, while it can mean abusive context it is also done as a f*ck yeah and multiple other nods to things. We're a simple bunch.

But sus out this awesome venue which we stumbled across by luck, it's relatively new and set amongst one of our last shire's. In Australia a Shire is a rural area often farmland often mixed between food bowl and live stock.

But it isn't often that many open an American Texas smokehouse, it's often a pub with cheap meals and poker machines. But insert tacky American Cowboy phrase (I do apologise I do not know any) We were driving past and seen an American flag through the roadhouse windows and then the sign hit "Texas".

Had to hit the breaks and stop by for a meal especially with all the woke food things and movements happening. I needed something real, something I remember growing up and well, what other place than an American Texas smokehouse.

We were not disappointed just massive hall with heaps of tables, the kind where people are not isolated in their groups scared to talk to each other, but the kind where you all have to sit together with people you don't know and actually talk and make friends.

Everyone has become so fearful of each other and everyone is in the same country, often neighbours. Isolated through phones and other crap I have no idea what is going on. But I have always been the kind of guy that will walk into a bar and make friends with everyone. If I can't and a scrap breaks out, we'll we're scrapping and everyone goes home after.

It's life.

This joint did not disappoint although we got there late and they were out of beef brisket which we were told is their best and they did apologise which was odd. I'm like all good brother means we have to come back next weekend!

The best part is (with exemptions for the beer) is they have things for kids to do, like those little humans that we are all trying to raise that is almost impossible to take anywhere because all the over priced joints these days try to cater for first date couples.

Oh and, you know what else is awesome, they don't just have this cart with a heap of kids things check this out.

Open space for free ranged children to run around.

Anyway, we will be back and I can not wait!

What are your thoughts?

images are all mine and we had a wonderful time. No financial advice just a fun American Post in the Land Down Under

Looks awesome man, glad you got some American food in ya! Texas BBQ is for sure a good one to have indulged in. Also gotta love when they have stuff for the kiddos to do. We have a brewery sort-of nearby that has some awesome kids stuff while the parents are getting a couple brews and their pizza is phenomenal.
