Melbourne's Growth Corridor

Melbourne's Growth Corridor

There's been big movement in the west of Melbourne, Australia typically people kept building east due to the suns impacts in the morning heading into the city.

The east heading west the sun is behind as you go to work and leave it.

Living in the west means that the sun is in your eyes as you head to work and as you return. For this reason all industry and contaminated industries were placed in the west and gave birth to the working class.

However, now as Melbourne bursts at its seems and rhe continued development east means journey into the city can take a long time due to congestion. The west with its cheaper land is becoming a hot property sector.

My drone images capture the nations fastest growing community.

The development is being undertaken by many different development companies and groups, construction is booming and the pace at which housing is being built out paces local infrastructure and services.

For many like myself, we are living in quite rhe disadvantaged community and regular shopping becomes a challenge.

But given the area is only 30kms from the CBD once services, infrastructure, roads and public transport go in. It will be a prime location.

The costs already far exceed $AUD1 Million to buy land and build here. But when compared to the east homes at this distance exceed $AUD2 million.

Over the next decade all this former farm land will become housing and be home to over 1 Million people. Or bigger than the Australian city Adelaide.
