How Important Is You Privacy?
So recently I have been embroiled in a few legal battles and yeah no one ever likes to be in those. While some might say I am the culprit I know that I haven't done anything to warrant litigation. Now I don't say I haven't done anything, as many of you might recall I was pretty politically active.
I recently hung up those boots and decided to move onto the next stage of my life, although it seems like leaving politics is worse than trying to leave the underworld. People come for you and try to destroy you.
Either way, it's gotten me into a few nasty battles that I don't want to be in but must persevere considering things keep getting launched at me. An issue that has emerged recently is that maybe, possibly and we are simply alleging here at this stage. A Government department has illegally accessed and has a number of my confidential and private documents.
How Do I Know?
We'll much can't be mentioned here just yet but lets just say everything in life is interconnected and having been involved in that space and knowledgeable of government policies, processes and procedures. A little something popped up and I was all over it saying "Hold up, it is impossible for you to have that as I and XYZ are the only ones that have that and that's my information".
It did turn into a bit of a back and forth a little with me being accused of privacy and confidentiality breaches despite them being my legal documents and the government ending up with them and I know I didn't give it to them because I am issuing legal proceedings against a department.
But this made me wonder how important is our privacy?
How's it feel?
We all know the importance of privacy and our rights but I have to admit, having experienced this. It is a totally different feeling, I feel yuk, dirty, violated and abused really and I went through abuse as a child and was sexually assaulted.
I think it was made worse when I raised it and I got a "No we didn't it was you" response.
So I wanted to ask, has anyone else ever had this happen and how did you get through it and more importantly, how did it make you feel?
