Ecency: New Updates Continue To Shine
It's been a minute since I popped into @ecency as I have taken a little time off Hive due to some personal matters but I am slowly getting back to it and across many of the Hive communities and UI's. I have to admit the changes to Ecency continue to blow me away and there are quite a lot of good one's in the latest iteration.
The Ecency team has been on a roll unveiling a wave of powerful updates across its web 3.0, mobile and their Waves platform. From the reimagined Wallet 2.0 to multi-chain support, localized experiences and new community building tools, these latest releases make Ecency more intuitive, secure and inclusive than ever before. It might also be one of the first Hive UI’s to achieve this level of development.

Ecency Wallet 2.0
The new Ecency Wallet 2.0 introduces a complete overhaul of the wallet interface and logic. Users can now create and manage external wallets enabling support for BTC, ETH, BNB, SOL, TRX, APT, and TON tokens all within the Hive ecosystem.
On top of that, you can continue to manage your HIVE, HBD and Ecency POINTS alongside SPK and Hive Engine tokens. A new trading view provides a clearer market outlook for each token by making the Ecency wallet a one stop hub for both on-chain and multi-chain management. This change makes Hive a more cross chain orientated blockchain helping grow the community by providing a one stop shop for all your crypto needs!

New Look Waves
Waves which was launched as Ecency’s short form content feature just got a major social upgrade. The new “For You” and “Following” feeds help users discover trending topics and hashtags from the last 24 hours giving a pulse of what’s hot across the Hive community. Ecency has also added Tipping support for HIVE, HBD and POINTS. A notification centre with filtering options, Quick search for accounts and tags, A built in Translate Wave feature for non-English content, Multi-language support for Chinese, German, French, Spanish, Portuguese, Hindi and Russian
Whether you’re browsing Snaps, Moments or Threads. T new Waves experience now rivals any Web 2 social platform and achieves greatness with the power of Web3 ownership behind it.
Security and reliability have also received big boosts with the Permissions page being redesigned for easier management of authorities and keys. Wallet derive keys and signup logic were improved for smoother onboarding. While stability updates now prevent hydration and null-check issues across devices, especially on iOS Safari.
The Ecency experience feels faster, safer and more stable which I am enjoying and is exactly what users expect from a top tier decentralized platform.

The New Look Mobile App
The Ecency mobile app’s new version isn’t just an update it’s a full scale refactor. With React Native and React Query upgrades, Ecency is setting the stage for faster development and a smoother user experience.
Key highlights include: Login and Sign with Ecency integration, enabling other apps (like Waves) to authenticate via Ecency. Recurring transfers for regular payments. Account switching improvements and clearer authentication icons. Role aware restrictions for communities, ensuring better governance. Improved editor and preview experiences, making post creation more fluid. Sentry integration to monitor app performance in real time. Extensive localization updates have also landed, ensuring global users can enjoy the app in their native languages.
Across web and mobile, Ecency has expanded language support to include German, Dutch, Japanese, Polish, French, Chinese, Spanish, Portuguese, Russian and Hindi. Coupled with the built in content translation tools, Ecency is bridging the language gap in decentralized social media, ensuring communities across continents can connect seamlessly.

The Ecencials feature set introduces a completely redesigned Community Creation Interface by making it easier than ever to launch your own space on Hive. Whether you’re into photography, food, travel, or activism, creating a community now takes just a few minutes.

Recurring transfers in the new app is the one that grabbed me. As an accountant, setting fixed HBD moves each month keeps the numbers tidy, and wa;llet logs make it simpler to not mess up keys :) Your right that Ecency feels faster lately. Small thing, but recurrng pays means fewer manual clicks and more time for, well, math.
It's a wonderful new addition and great to see the team continuing to build and add to their project
