La primera comunión de mi hermanita [Esp/Eng]

Today I’ll tell you about my day yesterday and something from the day before that.

Resulta que mi hermanita todo este mes de agosto lo tuvo lleno de muchas actividades e idas al colegio como pudieron ver en post anteriores, poque, se estaba preparando para realizar su primera comunión. 🌼

Su comunión fue el día de ayer, 23 de agosto. Pero, antes de llegar a ese día, el 22, acompañé a mi mamá y a mi hermanita a la iglesia donde habían bautizado a mi hermanita para buscar un documento. Pero, el padre nos comentó que ese documento no lo encontraba. Lo que nos preocupó mucho, porque, ya eran las 6 de la tarde y ese documento era necesario para la comunión😣. Sin embargo, después de tanto, lo pudimos tener esa tarde-noche. 😁

It turns out that my little sister had her whole month of August full of many activities and school visits, as you may have seen in previous posts, because she was preparing for her First Communion.🌼

Her communion was yesterday, August 23. But before that day arrived, on the 22nd, I went with my mom and my little sister to the church where my sister had been baptized to look for a document. But the priest told us that he couldn’t find that document. That worried us a lot, because it was already 6 in the evening and that document was necessary for the communion😣. However, after all that, we were able to get it that same evening-night.😁

Ya estando en casa, todos estuvieron preparando toda la ropa que usaríamos, para que en la mañana no tardáramos tanto y ella pudiera llegar a la hora que se le asignó.

Entonces, mi mañana de ese dia 23, empezó justo cuando sonó la alarma, 6:15 am (aunque la de mi hermanita inicio a las 5 am, para que le diera tiempo de arreglar sus rizos). Estuvimos casi 2hrs arreglándonos todos y salimos muy rápido de casa. No íbamos tarde, pero, no queríamos no tener lugar donde estacionar el carro ni quedar muy lejos de ella dentro de la iglesia.😅

Once at home, everyone was preparing the clothes we would wear, so that in the morning we wouldn’t take too long and she could arrive at the time assigned to her.

So, my morning that day, the 23rd, started right when the alarm rang at 6:15 am (although my little sister’s started at 5 am, so she would have time to fix her curls). We spent almost 2 hours getting ready and left the house very quickly. We weren’t running late, but we didn’t want to end up without a parking spot or too far from her inside the church.

Llagamos y estuvieron esperando a que todos los niños llegaran. La vestimenta que ellos estaban usando era un alba. Al inicio, fue muy chistoso ver a todos así, pero, eso no significa que se vieran mal. Se veían chistosos pero bien jaskajsa.

We arrived and waited for all the kids to come. The clothing they were wearing was an alb. At first, it was very funny to see them all like that, but that doesn’t mean they looked bad. They looked funny but nice hahaha.

Fue lindo todo lo que hicieron, mi hermanita estuvo cerca de sus amigas y ella se veía contenta. Ella fue una de las niñas elegidas para que leyera en la misa, y estuvo días antes practicando su lectura porque sentía un poco de nervios.

Cuando vi el pódium donde debian leer, creí que ella no se lograría ver de lo alto que era, pero, afortunadamente quedó justito para que se pudiera ver su carita. Y, su practica sirvió mucho, pues, sí logró leer sin trabarse. 😊

Everything they did was lovely, my little sister was close to her friends and she looked happy. She was one of the girls chosen to read during the mass, and she had been practicing her reading for days before because she felt a little nervous.

When I saw the podium where they had to read, I thought she wouldn’t be visible, but fortunately it was just right so you could see her little face. And her practice helped a lot, because she did manage to read without stumbling.😊

Despues de un rato llegó la hora de que ellos pasaran a comulgar, y, esta foto que tomé me gustó muchisimo, pero, por la simple razon de que, justo detrás de mi hermanita habian otras dos niñitas de cabello rizado, que, chistosamente las tres se hicieron amigas en catecismos por hablar de cómo cuidan sus rizos. 😅

After a while, it was time for them to go to communion, and this picture I took I liked so much, simply because right behind my little sister there were two other little girls with curly hair, who funnily enough became friends in catechism by talking about how they take care of their curls.😅

Ah, y una de las razones por las que yo quería estar cerquita de ella en la misa, era para poder ver el momento donde le dieran la ostia. Pues, cuando yo hice mi primera comunión, esa no fue la mejor parte para mí (sin intención de ofender), pues, una porción de la ostia era humedecida en vino, lo cual, me disgutó un poco😣, pero no podía hacer una cara fea por respeto.

Y conociendo a mi hermanita, sabia que tampoco le agradaría el sabor del vino. Y efectivamente fue así JASJASJA. Despues de tomar la ostia, estuvo mucho rato de rodillas en el asiento, pero, era porque ella estaba tratando de pasar el sabor jasjasj.

Ah, and one of the reasons why I wanted to be close to her during mass was so I could see the moment when she received the host. Because when I did my First Communion, that wasn’t the best part for me (no offense intended), since a portion of the host was dipped in wine, which I didn’t really like😣, but I couldn’t make a bad face out of respect.

And knowing my little sister, I knew she wouldn’t like the taste of the wine either. And that’s exactly how it was HAHAHHA. After taking the host, she stayed kneeling at the seat for a long time, but that was because she was trying to get rid of the taste LOL.

Luego, terminó todo, claramente muchos estuvieron tomando todas las fotos que pudieran para guardar el momento, y, muchos comenzaron a quitarse el alba, pues, bajo de ella, tenian una vestimenta que quisieron llevar justamente para tomarse sus fotitos. Pues, tenían esa opción, llevar la ropa que quisieran bajo el alba.

Then, everything ended, and of course many people were taking as many pictures as they could to save the moment, and many began to take off the alb, since underneath they had an outfit they had chosen to wear just for taking pictures. Because they had that option, to wear whatever clothes they wanted under the alb.

Fue un día lindo, pero, una vez nosotros llegamos a casa, almorzamos y nos acotamos a dormir de los cansados que estábamos jaskasj.😅

It was a beautiful day, but once we got home, we had lunch and went straight to sleep because of how tired we were haha.😅
