Today I wanted to water my kohlrabi and was a bit shocked to see small holes in the leaves everywhere.
The underside of the leaves were full of caterpillars, some a bit bigger and some still quite tiny.
I don't really want to use chemicals, so I asked Google.
Caterpillars are said to dislike the smell of tobacco and burnt tobacco. As my wife smokes, we have this at home and I've scattered a little around. Certainly not ideal either, but hopefully better than the chemical mace.
Or do you have another tip for me?
It's not so bad with the kohlrabi leaves as long as they don't eat everything and the kohlrabi grows. But I have lettuce right next to it and I want to eat it myself.

heute habe ich meine Kohlrabi gießen wollen und war etwas erschrocken, auf mal überall kleine Löcher in den Blättern.
Die unterseite der Blätter waren voll von Raupen, manche schon etwas größer und einige noch recht winzig.
Eigentlich möchte ich ja keine Chemie nutzen und habe mal Google gefragt.
Raupen sollen den Geruch von Tabak und verbeanten Tabak nicht mögen. Da meine Frau raucht, haben wir das daheim und ich habe ein wenig verstreut. Sicherlich auch nicht ideal, aber hoffentlich besser als die Chemiekeule.
Oder habt ihr noch einen Tipp für mich?
An sich ist es bei den Kohlrabi Blättern nicht so schlim, solange die nicht alles wegfuttern und der Kohlrabi wächst. Aber direkt daneben habe ich Pflücksalat und den möchte ich schon selber essen.

Schlecht, diese Raupen können deine Kohlblätter bis auf das Gerippe abfressen.
Eier und Raupen entfernen: Zerdrücken die Eier und sammeln die Raupen regelmäßig ab.

War schon einiges an Taupen.
