Rescue food - Lebensmittel retten

Hallo liebe Community,

passend zu meinem Beitrag gestern wollte ich euch eine App vorstellen, bei der es auch ums vermeiden von Müll geht. Sogar noch viel wichtiger, es geht darum Lebensmittel zu retten, damit diese nicht im Müll landen.

Mit der App "Too good to go" könnt ihr bei teilnehmenden Geschäften (Bäckereien, Restaurants, Discounter, Tankestellen...) Lebensmittelpakete zu günstigen Preisen erhalten.

In der App könnt ihr täglich sehen, wer in eurer Nähe ein Angebot hat und diese Reservieren. Die Pakete müssen zu der angegebenen Uhrzeit abgeholt werden. Der Preis wird angezeigt, der Inhalt nicht, denn das steht erst dann fest. Denn ihr erhaltet, das was dann z.B. vom Büfett übrig ist, was in der Bäckerei nicht verkauft wurde oder Produkte die in kürze Ablaufen.

Die App ist in sehr vielen Ländern nutzbar, nicht nur in Deutschland, sondern u.a. in England, Österreich, Italien, Spanien, Portugal...

In Hamburg und umzu nehmen über tausend Geschäfte teil, in allen Ländern wohl mehrere Zehntausend. Da verwundert es mich schon, dass ich davon erst vor kurzem was gehört habe.

Die App ist super einfach aufgebaut und man findet alle wichtigen Informationen zu den Angeboten.

Und auch zu den Geschäften erhält man Informationen, wie viele Pakete wurden gerettet, seit wann nimmt das Geschäft teil, und Bewertungen von Rettern u.a. wie das Preis-Leistungsverhältnisses ist.

Ich muss jetzt gestehen, dass ich die App bisher nur angeschaut habe, aber noch kein Paket gerettet habe.
Wer mich kennt, weiß aber bestimmt wieso. Wir ernähren uns ganz speziell momentan, LowCarb. Und da ist eine Überraschubgstüte momentan leider gar nichts für uns. Bringt nichts, das wir eine Tüte kaufen und dann doch einen Teil wegschmeißen müssen.

Ich werde aber sobald wir uns wieder normal (zumindest zeitweise) ernähren es testen.

Aber von demjenigen von dem ich den Tipp habe, habe ich nur positives gehört. Zum Teil gibt's Pakete die das 10 fache an Wert haben. Das sicherlich nicht die Regel, aber es kommt vor. Meist soll es wohl eine Ersparniss von 50-70% sein.

In line with my post yesterday, I wanted to introduce you to an app that is also about avoiding waste. Even more importantly, it's about saving food so that it doesn't end up in the rubbish.

With the app "Too good to go" you can get food packages at low prices at participating shops (bakeries, restaurants, discounters, petrol stations...).

In the app, you can see daily who has an offer in your area and reserve them. The packages must be picked up at the specified time. The price is displayed, but not the contents, because that is not known until then. You will receive what is left over from the buffet, for example, what was not sold in the bakery or products that will soon expire.

More than a thousand shops are taking part in Hamburg and the surrounding area, and probably several tens of thousands in all countries. I'm surprised that I only heard about it recently.

The app is super easy to use and you can find all the important information about the offers.

You can also find information about the shops, such as how many parcels have been saved, how long the shop has been taking part, and reviews from rescuers, including how good the price-performance ratio is.

I have to admit that I have only looked at the app so far, but have not yet rescued a parcel.
But those who know me will certainly know why. We are eating a very special diet at the moment, LowCarb. And a surprise bag is unfortunately not for us at the moment. It's no use buying a bag and then having to throw some of it away.

But I will try it as soon as we eat normally again (at least temporarily).
