Hola, mis queridos hivers! En el capítulo de hoy, me dejé envolver por el rojo profundo...

This time i can't remember how this new mysterious and hooded creature came about... Sometimes certain strokes emerge from somewhere in the unconscious without warning and that's how i was shaping this mystical being. I wasn't sure what to put in the background, for some time i wanted to incorporate flowers into a drawing so i added some roses. I left the rest of the details for the end.

Esta vez no logro recordar cómo surgió esta nueva criatura misteriosa y encapuchada... A veces ciertos trazos emergen de algún lugar del inconsciente sin avisar y así fue como fuí dando forma a este ser místico. No estaba muy segura de qué colocar de fondo, desde hace tiempo quería incorporar flores a algún dibujo así que agregué algunas rosas. Dejé los demás detalles para el final.

Some time ago i noticed on social media a trend of adding red as a base color, i found it peculiar and interesting at the same time, there is a Japanese artist who often uses these techniques and his acrylic paintings are spectacular. I was never a big fan of red as a dominant color but since i have been exploring new things, i have fallen in love with it. The idea was to add other colors with acrylic markers but the truth is that i started to like the look of this little deep and vital red canvas. For this background i used a coral colored alcohol marker.

Hace un tiempo noté en redes sociales como una tendencia de agregar como base el color rojo, me resultó peculiar e interesante a la vez, hay un artista japonés que suele usar esas técnicas y sus pinturas en acrílicos quedan espectaculares. Nunca fui muy fan del rojo como color dominante pero desde hace tiempo que exploro cosas nuevas, me he enamorado de él. La idea era agregar otros colores con marcadores acrílicos pero la verdad es que me empezó a gustar el aspecto de este pequeño lienzo rojo profundo y vital. Para este fondo usé un marcador de alcohol color coral.

I selected two other red tones from my alcohol markers, darker than the base for shadows and halftones. Already for this step, i think i was sure that i would not use acrylic markers, nor other complementary colors for my drawing because, that reddish and mystic atmosphere i liked that way. And of course with my black ink pens to outline and create striking details. I don't know why but i always liked the combination of red and black.

Seleccioné otros dos tonos rojos de mis marcadores de alcohol, más oscuros que la base para sombras y medios tonos. Ya para este paso, creo que estaba segura que no usaría marcadores acrílicos, ni otros colores complementarios para mi dibujo pues, esa atmósfera rojiza y mística me gustó así. Y por supuesto con mis bolígrafos de tinta negra para delinear y crear detalles llamativos. No sé por qué pero siempre me agradó mucho la combinación de rojo y negro.

I did the outlining of the roses and for the end i added thick curved lines and very thin background lines. I had thought about adding other colors for that background but i really liked this deeper and darker look.

Hice el delineado de las rosas y ya para el final agregué líneas gruesas curvas y otras de fondo muy finas. Tenía pensado en agregar otros colores para ese fondo pero realmente me gustaba más este aspecto más profundo y oscuro.

I wasn't thinking of adding another color though, just some highlights. I decided that those touches would be with an orange pencil. Although i admit that in photos you can't really appreciate the drawing as it really looks, the red is a little difficult to capture but i made several attempts to make it look as good as i could. This creature with that sacred and mystical aspect of an ancestral monk or maybe a warrior, i loved it. I have only a few pages left in this little art book. I think all my creatures are like guardians, each one coming from very different planes or dimensions but with the same mission.

Aunque no pensaba en agregar otro color, solo algunos toques de luz. Decidí que esos toques serían con un lápiz de color naranja. Aunque admito que en fotos no se logra apreciar el dibujo como realmente luce, el rojo es un poco difícil de capturar pero hice varios intentos para lograr que se apreciara lo mejor que pude. Esta criatura con ese aspecto sagrado y místico como de un monje ancestral o tal vez un guerrero, me encantó. Ya me quedan pocas páginas en este pequeño libro de arte. Creo que todas mis criaturas son como guardianes, cada uno proveniente de planos o dimensiones muy distintas pero con la misma misión.
