GIVING FROM AN EMPTY PURSE.
"Take it easy Dee", one of my team members tried pacifying me. I knew for certain that, they were also displeased by our team coordinator's crocked attitude but somehow, they were handling and bottling their aggressions so well than I was . Basically, I think I'm the least person that would feign satisfaction or feel indifference in that kind of situation, when speaking out could actually liberate me from the burning steams of adrenaline (anger) in my body.

The pre - employment job training that was initially scheduled for three days was spontaneously declared by the training moderator, during the course of lecture that, it would be stretched further for another two days, summing up to be five solid days. The sudden extension of the programme tuned down our high vibes hence, leaving us with two bail out options which were, to either continue with the training and be prepared to incur extra transportation, feeding and housing expenses or opt out from the training and still have some money to sustain oneself until a better offer surface again - 'A bird in the hand is worth two in the bush after all'.
The most disappointing part of it all was that, we all gave in to participate in the training because of the irrefutable offer our team coordinator brought to the table, he actually promised to support us financially with the expenses but, he didn't came through.
We all decided to retire home and sleep over the options at our disposal perhaps, the dawn of a new day would present us with better options. I got to the motor park during the late evening so as to board a bus down to my destination. I was glad that, the bus is half filled with passengers and I wouldn't be waiting forever for the bus to kick off - I couldn't wait to have a proper sleep on my bed, in my house. My eyes spotted my favorite seat space and I literally dragged my tired self to the vacant seat adjacent to the window.
Five minutes after settling in the bus, I got a red alert notice from my stomach worms - have not had anything edible all day. I called on the peddler approaching my direction and bought a sausage roll and yoghurt, I waited for no other seconds but rather started devouring them outrightly. Meanwhile, I can't but notice how my seatmate kids were watching how I was munching and gulping each of the items I bought, I know what that means, after all every adults was once a kid. I checked my purse to see if I could still spare some cash but unfortunately, I was only left with my transport fare and some cash that could get me a decent meal for dinner apparently, I was too helpless to give anything out.
Less than an hour into the journey, we experienced traffic jam, vehicles were honking and there was chattering noise of passengers, road sellers and pedestrians. Passengers may not be pleased with the interruption in transit but that isn't same for road peddlers because, that's their usual point of sales.
Hawkers were clustered on the road, marketing and selling their goods. A boy with a carton of biscuit held in his arms came to the window side where I was seated and was like, "Aunty, buy from me now", I was moved with compassion and couldn't say No nor mind my purse. I bought two biscuit from him and handed it to my seatmate kids.

Frankly, I had a bad day but I sure knew my day wasn't as bad as that of that poor kid.
