From Cebu City to Negros Island - August 2025
"Collecting memories, one destination at a time.”
Early morning, August 20, 2025, our family drove to Cebu South. Our way to Negros Island. It is in Liloan, Santander, Cebu, that we take the boat to Negros. The town is 136 Kilometers away from Cebu City.
Our drive took 5 hours. We had several stopovers for pee breaks and to buy food to eat. This route has always been our route since we started traveling as a family to visit my father and siblings.
I am always in awe every time we travel. Appreciating God's creations and the beauty around us as we passed by.
We left early to avoid the city's heavy traffic. True enough, as we reached the areas where heavy traffic is expected, vehicles slowly built up the streets. We're glad we passed by those areas before we could be trapped.
Our travel was smooth. We stopped by Carcar to buy some banana chips and chicharon. "Pasalubong" for our family. We also stopped by Dalaguete to purchase the famous Maam Procee's Torta. We've noticed they have improved their shop since our visit last January 2025. They added some tables and chairs for customers to use, and they moved to another building just beside the old one.
After we bought their delicious torta and polvoron, we continued our drive to Liloan Port, Santander. We reached the port before 11:00 AM and on-boarded the boat at 11:00 AM. Headed to Sibulan Port, Negros Oriental. The travel time to cross was about 30 minutes, more or less, and then we arrived in Sibulan in no time.
That's Sumilon Island from afar.
Bye Cebu for now.
Hello Negros Island!
That's our car over there.
Look at that view! Those majestic mountains of Negros Oriental! What a beautiful sight to see! The sea was just calm during our cruise to the opposite island. Wow! Just amazing. I am out of words to describe it.
And so we reached Sibulan Port. From there, we still need to drive 30 more Kilometers to reach our old home in Pamplona, where my younger brother and his family live. It was great to be home. We had a simple lunch and stayed for a while before heading to my Papa's home in Bais City. My father now lives in Bais City since he got married again in 2019. We stayed with him and his wife for our entire vacation in Negros Oriental.
Photo snapped on our way to Bais City.
This is how our first day went. Not to mention the body aches (butt aches haha) because of long sitting. 😆 I'll tell you what we did on the following days in my next blog.
This is all for now. Thank you for reaching this far.
Until next time!
xoxo,
Met

Yes! And I am grateful. 🙏
Looks like you had a full day of travel and treats! The boat ride to Sibulan and the view of Negros Oriental’s mountains look incredible.
Yeah we were on the road for almost all day but we enjoyed it.
