Feeling Nostalgic

Yesterday I checked my old laptops for photos which I had not uploaded to my Google Drive. I came across pictures of our children when they were still very young. From being new born then to a toddler. The pictures took me back to the years as a first-time mother. How those cute little angels filled our hearts with joy. Witnessed their milestones. Remembered their giggles. Like the pictures below. This was our first Christmas as a family of Three.

Then a family of Four.

Can you believe how quickly time passed by? So I am keeping and saving all these photographs. Preserving the precious memories we have created. Great thing we now have digital storage for files that weather cannot destroy. Not unless I won't be able to access my drive. I am truly grateful for technology. During my childhood, it was the film era. Unlimited shots were not available. 😀

From a family of Three, now a family of Five.

I also found the photos of our visits to places and our families in Negros and Laguna. My family's love for travel will always remain the driving force for us to explore new places and visit friends near and far.

Before I got married, I used to travel from different parts of the Philippines. My previous job gave me that opportunity to go to places and meet new people. Now that I have a family of my own, my travel buddies are my children and husband. As I mentioned before in my previous travel blogs, we don't have much financially, but we value creating precious moments with family. So we make sure we allocate a portion of our financial resources to travel and family time.

I don't know, but I get nostalgic these days. Aside from the fact that I saw the old photos, maybe I just missed the old days. When children were younger. Things get more challenging when children get older. I'm sure parents here can attest to that. I am not complaining though. I love my life and family. It's just that when I look back, I miss the good old days. 🙂

The world right now is clashing with different opinions on certain topics. Most especially now with the internet, it is easy for people to say bad things about others. I have nothing against the internet. I love it! I love the convenience it gives everyone. My hope and prayer is that we can be kinder and loving to one another.

Now back to my nostalgia, 😂 please allow me to look back to the past and reminisce about moments when life was simpler. Innocent children. Cute faces.

Aren't they adorable? I miss them when they were little. So pure and innocent.

We are now in a different stage of our family life. We now have a teenager and soon all of them will be teenagers. Another phase!

So what I'm trying to convey here? Time is quick in passing. Before we know it, we run out of time to do the things we want to do. This being said, let's spend it with things that matter most. As for me, I have dedicated my life to motherhood. I am not a perfect parent. I have my shortcomings but I will do my best to fulfill my role as a mother to my children and a wife to my husband. I have other stuff on my plate too. But my priority is my family.

I don't know if I'm making sense here 😂, But yeah, Thank you for your time and for hearing me out.

Until next time!

xoxo,
Met

Looking at old photo albums also makes me feel nostalgic. We left our old house long time ago, I couldn't keep much of those photos. There's that feeling of wanting to go back to that time when I was still young and carefree while living with my parents. You are a dedicated mother I believe! Spending more time with children especially when they are still young is really essential.

Old photos always gives us this nostalgic feeling. It takes us back to our cherished moments, places, experiences that shaped us who we are today. It brings us to a time of laughter, love and sometimes, it brings heartache when we look into someone who's gone.

I can totally relate to you. Photos have the power to transport us back to those moments in time. The photos hold so much more than just images but they carry the laughter, milestones and simple joys that we've experienced along the way.

you are right Sis @me2selah time really travels fast. In a blink of an eye soon your children will soon have families of their own, you and bro will remain only the two of you. That's what happens to us now where 8 of our children have families of their own.
