A walk with the Beatles

This walk took place several moons ago, in Varadero, while we were on vacation.

The nightlife in this seaside resort is usually quite lively. Groups of friends share in the many restaurants and cafes that are everywhere and enjoy music and some shows.

Despite the sweltering heat that we have these days in our country, the night always brings a cool breeze and more when you are so close to the sea. So walking along the main street of this town is very pleasant.

The first streets are more discouraged, but from 30th street onwards the movement begins. Several people approach the viewpoint where the giant sign with the name of this emblematic beach is located to take pictures, despite the night, the place is illuminated in a way that makes this activity possible.

The cafeteria "El Caribeño' stands out for its architecture, its sailboat shape makes it very striking. The music, the lights and the show put the rest.

In the "Laurent" restaurant, the illumination of its beautiful stained glass windows and the quality of its dishes attract many customers.

On the corner of 1st and 59th is the bar-restaurant The Beatles, this place is our favorite. A live band entertains the night, rock music is what they play. Many tourists crowd around the tables in the outside areas to enjoy the band that is performing today. Others of us stay on the sidewalk from where we also enjoy the show. Emblematic songs from other eras played and sung quite well by the young people on duty, we had an excellent time.

A few blocks ahead, on 62nd and 1st, another completely different show. Cuban music, salsa, mulatas, folklore. Many tourists trying to enjoy to the fullest this sample of Cuban culture, this piece of night with a Cuban flavor.

Thus ended our night walk, which I share with you in this Wednesday walk initiative by @tattoodjay. After midnight we returned to rest to recharge our batteries and enjoy the next day, which would be our last day of vacation.

Este paseo tuvo lugar hace varias lunas, en Varadero, mientras estábamos de vacaciones.

La vida nocturna de este balneario suele ser bastante movida. Grupos de amigos comparten en los numerosos restaurantes y cafeterías que hay por doquier y disfrutan de música y algunos espectáculos.

A pesar del sofocante calor que tenemos por estos tiempos en nuestro país, la noche trae siempre una brisa fresca y más cuando se está tan cerca del mar. Así que caminar por la calle principal de este poblado es muy agradable.

Las primeras calles están más desanimadas, pero a partir de la calle 30 empieza el movimiento. Varias personas se acercan al mirador dónde está el cartel gigante con el nombre de esta emblemática playa a tomarse fotografías, a pesar de la noche, el lugar está iluminado de manera que hace posible esta actividad.

La cafetería el "Caribeño' destaca por su arquitectura, su forma de barco velero la hace muy llamativa. La música, las luces y el espectáculo ponen lo demás.

El restaurante la iluminación de sus bellos vitrales y la calidad de sus platos atrae a varios clientes.

En la esquina de la 1era y la 59 está el bar-restaurante The Beatles, este lugar es nuestro preferido. Una banda en vivo amenizan la noche, música rock es lo que tocan. Muchos turistas se aglutinan en las mesas de las áreas exteriores para disfrutar del grupo que se presenta hoy. Otros nos quedamos en la acera desde donde disfrutamos también del espectáculo. Canciones emblemáticas de otras épocas tocadas y cantadas bastante bien por los jóvenes de turno, pasamos un excelente rato.

Unas cuadras más adelante, en la 62 y 1era, otro espectáculo completamente diferente. Música cubana, salsa, mulatas, folklore. Muchos turistas tratando de disfrutar al máximo esta muestra de cubanía, de este trozo de noche con sabor a Cuba.

Así terminó nuestro paseo nocturno, el que comparto con ustedes en este paseo de miércoles iniciativa de @tattoodjay. Pasadas las 12 de la noche regresábamos a descansar para recargar energías y disfrutar al día siguiente, del que sería nuestro último día de vacaciones.
