A few puzzles

When I was a little girl and into early adulthood I had many puzzles, I loved them.

They were inherited by my siblings and cousins, all younger than me. As an adult I have had very few. Unfortunately, although it may seem hard to believe, buying an interesting puzzle in Cuba...is a titanic task.

It is no secret to anyone that this is a country in crisis and consequently many things go to second, third, fourth and even infinite plane. Apparently, puzzles have been relegated to the background.

A few years ago you could find some in stores or in the editions of the International Book Fair. There we always used to buy some for Olivia.

We found quite interesting themes for her according to her age. She had wooden ones in the first stage of her life, or with a few pieces, for small children. As she got older we bought more complex ones.

A small 3D collection of some places in the world, the Tower of London Bridge, the Eiffel Tower, the Empire State Building, the Sydney Opera House, Notre Dame Cathedral and others that I don't remember. They were small and not of very good quality, but they were very nice and it was a great pleasure to finish them and see them done.

She always liked to build things, whether they were puzzles, blocks or legos, anything that could be put together was of interest to her. It's a shame that we have lost the photos from that stage.

Those puzzles perished in her battle against time and many others ended up like mine, in the hands of cousins, all younger than her.

To date, only a few have arrived. I have found them after a search in the immense clutter of our garage, with the purpose of showing them here in this initiative proposed by Mipiano.

Some have lost their original case, but retain all their pieces. Almost all of them are for small children.

Among the survivors are the last 2 we bought at the Book Fair just before the pandemic. One of the 200 pieces quite easy to make

The other only has 500 pieces, but many almost the same color! It gets a bit tricky. The last time we put it together was in July last year and luckily we took a picture of it. If I had decided to put it together now... I would have missed the month of the initiative.😜

This one that I will show you next I built it against the clock....1.23 minutes only 18 pieces, I am...very slow!!!! 🤣

You beat me! The size and number of pieces doesn't matter haha

Thank you for searching for the remaining puzzles you didn't give away, and congratulations on being the first one in bringing your puzzle collection in this month's initiative 🏁🤗

There's something valuable in doing puzzles, as it helps to keep the brain active. I'm pleased to see that people still find pleasure in doing manual things with all the technology available:)

Jigsaw puzzles are super helpful for keeping the brain active. We love them.

Luckily in this house despite the technologies we love board games. In fact after the pandemic we had an impasse, but again we have resumed our nightly gaming sessions. XD

I loved puzzles as a child, I had a lot of puzzles but with only a few pieces and they still broke my head, literally haha I can imagine those with more than 500 pieces. I don't know what happened to them, but this post made me remember them with affection.

I loved the one with the Solar System 😍

I'm glad my post brought back beautiful memories for you. To remember is to live again.

The puzzle of the solar system is beautiful...and difficult!!!! At least for me. 🤭

Happy weekend.

Your collection of puzzles is very nice. I've really looked but I don't have any at home to display. I really liked the one that appears in your last photo. Thanks for sharing.

Hello, nice to meet you, hey how great the puzzles you show us are, especially the one with the planets and the one with Wall-E which is very nice ❤️

I am one of those who finds it difficult to put together a complete one for reasons of patience since these games are not my style 😅; Without a doubt, puzzles with many pieces should be put together with family or friends, I have 2 that have almost a thousand pieces each and I still can't sit down to put them together 🙃

Greetings, it has been a pleasure to read you and see these gems of fun 🧩... You Rockkk!!! 👍😎🔥❤️

Thank you for reading my publication and for that eloquent comment.

Good idea to put together puzzles of 1000 or 2000 pieces with family or friends, it makes it easier and more fun 😁

Patience is necessary, but maybe putting together a small part every day is a therapy to disconnect from other activities and at the same time the brain gets a dose of training.😉

It was a pleasure to read your comment. 🤩
