Phase II of hive borehole.
The 23rd Hive borehole project has progressed to phases two and three so well already. After completing the drilling operation of phase one, we are now transitioning to the structural completion stage as we take each step to put together what we hope are the final elements of the project. This is the stage when the borehole really takes shape and its presence solidifies into the community.
At this point, we are in the construction of the pillar and the seat, which will support the tank, which is some of the most critical and structural foundation. The strength and durability of the entire water system rely on this construction to last for years to come. Additionally, the wall that the pipes will rest upon is getting its final construction as well. The construction keeps continuing until all of the pieces of the borehole not only provide safe water but also stand strong as the longer-term investment for the community of Wurapong.
At this part of the process, I really appreciate the professionalism of the workers, as their work is evident in every borehole project that we completed together, the level of quality of work is the same each time. It is clear to all how much passion they have to dig far into the ground to create a new support system which we now conjure into a tank. The dedication of every worker ensures that the actualisation of clean water continues to pave its trail across Ghana.
Based on the update that we received, the project has progressed immensely and now is going through some of its final preparations for completion. The mechanisation process, as well as the installation of the tank and piping systems, is nearing finalisation as well. Each day draws us closer to our stated goal – handing over the borehole to the Wurapong community.
We are extremely optimistic and confident that the project will be finalised this week and inaugurated over the weekend. As usual, we will continue to provide updates in order that you can follow this life-changing journey that we have started.
