Please, Lessen The Kane Noise.
Can anyone please remind these media jesters that tonight's match is between Arsenal and Bayern Munich and not between Arsenal and Harry Kane. Seriously, the noise is nauseating.
If there is one reason why these English folks are not really respected all across the world of football, it's simply because of the ridiculous amount of noise they make about their mostly above average players. And I should've known this noise about Kane vs Arsenal would be loud when SkySports started keeping tabs on the German Bundesliga since Kane moved to Munich.
Kane is world class and he deserves all the accolades he gets. But why is everyone suddenly making it seem like he is going to solely decide the outcome of this important matchup? He has scored 32 goals for Bayern this season yet they are a massive 16 points behind Leverkusen on the Bundesliga table. For goodness sake, Kane is not Bayern; he is just a tiny part of the gigantic organization called Bayern Munich.
Despite his impressive attacking record of 14 goals and 3 assists against Arsenal, he was on the winning side in just seven of the 19 games he featured against Arsenal. So, for all I care, Kane may score six goals in both games against Arsenal and Bayern Munich will still get eliminated. So why can't people look beyond the noise and see that this Bayern team is rotten to the marrows?
And that's not to say this will be a walkover for Arsenal in any way. But the smart money is on Arsenal to progress this time no matter what the history books may say. Afterall, it takes only a moment to change the course of history. I expect Arsenal to win this one.
