Sunny Saturday Afternoon Venture Outside: Breathing Some Fresh Air Towards The Park And Wandering Through The Night Market
My son has been battling a nasty cold, cough, and illness.
It's been three days since it started, and it feels like we're prisoners in our own homes.
And so this sunny Saturday afternoon, my hubby decided to venture outside and breathe in some fresh air.
That immediately excites us.
We then set out towards the park.
As we entered the park, we found a bench and sat down.
We also took a stroll, appreciating the sounds of the laughter of children playing in the distance.
My son, on the other hand, enjoys that walk without a hint of the sickness that had kept us indoors for so long.
After some time, as we settled into enjoying our time, the once-clear sky began to darken.
And so the pouring shower splashed down.
We then jumped onto our e-bike, feeling the cool rain in our skin.
That rain makes us decide to leave the park.
We then headed to the night market, where the bustling stalls lined the narrow streets.
We wandered through the maze of vendors, overwhelmed by the variety of snacks on display.
Until I saw a stall filled with an assortment of fried street food. It's likely fish balls, kikiam, and freshly cooked empanadas.
I ordered a couple of empanadas, filled with various ingredients.
The other one has a giniling filling which I gave to my hubby, and mine has a combination of ham and cheese filling.
Each bite was a burst of flavor, leaving us craving more.
And so I buy more to be taken home.
We snagged a few more snacks — a soft Japanese cake stuffed with cheese fillings (my son's favorite), and a bowl of steaming noodles.
With our arms full of goodies, we finished our snacks and so our bellies were full.
This Saturday stroll through the market and park leads to the best medicine my son needs.
Until our next days of adventure outside... Buh-bye. 👋🌺
Nature is truly healing and amid our busy lives, I believe everyone's weekends should look like this. The park looks great and the snacks look even better.
Hope the little guy is all recovered now!
Yeah. He recovered already. Thank God he's all fine now. 🥰
