In my elementary days, our teacher gave us a task to write a diary entry.

‎She said we should write about our daily experiences.

‎At first, I thought every day felt the same: school, study, play, and home.

‎But as I started writing, I realized that each day was unique in its own way.

‎There I write how my friend shared a kind word with me, how the math problem became so challenging, or a moment of recess, and so on.

‎Because of that diary, I appreciate how the little things made each day special.

‎And here in Hive, I'm particularly fond of this "Daily Blog" community, where it highlights the unique days of each member.

‎So now, join me as I catch you up on my life, sharing what went down last Monday.

‎Snack Time For The Volunteers

‎It was Monday afternoon when we went to the Kingdom Hall to provide snacks for the volunteers.

‎Our Kingdom Hall was still reeling from the aftermath of Typhoon Kristine, which had brought destruction to the Philippines.

‎The fence had been torn down, and renovation was underway to restore the hall to its former state.

Our volunteers are from all over, donating their time, skills, and resources to help us get back on our feet.

And as a small token of appreciation, we were assigned to provide snacks for these selfless individuals.

‎We prepare traditional Filipino snacks like biniribid, banana cue, banana fritters, and my mom's specialty, bibingka with colorful sprinkles and chocolate chips.

All of these were served.

‎As we handed out the snacks, the smiles on the volunteers' faces and their words of appreciation were enough to inspire us to do more.

‎One of them exclaimed that the biniribid is her favorite!

‎While others savored the banana cue, because of its caramelized sugar and crispy exterior.

‎But what really stole the show was my mom's bibingka.

‎They couldn't get enough of the melted chocolate topping.

‎It was a small gesture, but it energized them to keep going.

‎And we were thrilled to see them so happy.

‎We were grateful for this opportunity to serve, and looking forward to when the Kingdom Hall is back to its former glory.

Until our next kindness and generosity...

‎Thanks for the visit! Have a lovely day. Buh-bye. 💗🌸
