My Baby's Immunization: Thankful For The Supportive Community
Hello, motherhood community! Hope you're all having an amazing day.
This time, I'm genuinely thrilled because I can finally share my 9-month-old baby's immunization.
It was a bright and sunny morning when my little one and I woke up.
It was the immunization schedule so I carefully dressed my baby in soft, comfortable clothes and packed a small bag with essentials, including a bottle of water, and the old immunization card.
Upon reaching the health center, we were welcomed warmly by the Barangay Health Worker (BHW) behind the counter.
She called me in, and I took a seat next to other parents also waiting for their turn.
My baby looked around curiously, excited by the new environment.
When it was our turn, the nurse gently examined my little one, checked his immunization record, and explained the vaccines he would receive that day.
With comforting words and gentle hands, she administered the vaccines, while my baby cried briefly.
It was a natural response.
I then quickly calmed him in my arms, hugging him tightly, and whispering soothing words.
The nurse said that our next schedule for upcoming immunizations is when my baby turns 1 year old.
She also advised me to give my baby a paracetamol after the vaccines to help him reduce the pain or discomfort.
After that, we left the health center, carrying my baby home, thankful for the supportive community, and providing my baby with all the love and care he deserves.
