Freezing Memories In Time: Transporting Back And Reliving The Emotions

How do you usually document moments?

‎If you ever do, then what motivates you to do it?

‎For me, photography is my thing. Whether it's a selfie, group shot, or catching candid moments, I love freezing memories in time.

It's amazing how a single photo can transport you back to a specific moment and relive the emotions all over again.

‎Like the one I'm sharing now.

‎Since it's Throwback Thursday, let's revisit some memories.

‎It was afternoon when we decided to go grocery shopping.

‎But since we felt hungry, we first stopped by our favorite Karinderia.

‎We ordered spaghetti, my hubby's favorite.

The taste of it was sweet and salty, combined perfectly in the sauce and noodles.

‎We just settled at the small table and filled our bellies.

‎After that, we decided to hit the night market next.

‎From stall to stall, I turned towards one with freshly made empanadas!

They were golden brown and perfect, neatly arranged in a display case.

‎I ordered two empanadas: one filled with pansit and the other with ham and cheese.

‎The crispy outer crust, plus the melted cheese, combined with the ham was just a pleasure for me.

‎While the pansit flavor gives me a nostalgic feeling, as I had such fond memories of this treat as a child.

We used to add a dash of vinegar before to balance the flavors of the pansit.

‎After I took my last bite, we continued our plan to go grocery shopping.

And since baby Aiden was leading the way, look where we suddenly took a turn into...

The liquor area. 😂

‎Yes, you read that right!

‎In front of the shelves of colorful bottles, we train our baby. HAHAHA...

‎He tried to scan the choices, whether we would get the apple vodka, the sweet strawberry mix, or the fancy bottle.

‎Actually, he pointed to the expensive one, a 20% bottle. 😆

‎But we just chose the bottle that we can handle, and placed it into the cart.

‎After the grocery store, we headed straight to the Fun Nation.

‎We decided to play the coin pusher.

IMG_20251104_165632_772.jpg

‎We had TEN one-peso coins. Yes, 10 pesos.

IMG_20251104_165627_753.jpg

This is our investment. 🤣

‎Maybe through this, we got a chance to win buckets of coins. 😆

‎I dropped my first coin... Push...

Nothing.

‎Second coin, still nothing.

‎Third, fourth, fifth, still no coins falling. 🥺

‎So I gave the machine to my hubby. It was his turn.

IMG_20251104_170007_923.jpg

He inserted his first peso.

‎Second, third, fourth, fifth...

‎Nothing.

‎By the end, we were rewarded with tickets.

IMG_20251104_170056_303.jpg

Tickets that we absolutely didn't need, that probably didn't even buy the cheapest exchange we could get.

‎So that's it. Ten pesos gone. Zero coins won. 🤦🏼‍♀️

‎We went home wiping our imaginary tears...

‎Until our next story...

Thanks for the visit! Have a lovely day. Buh-bye. 💗🌸
