Experimenting With My Ecency Points: Promoting Article, Boosting My Hive Account, And Giving A Gift To Someone

It was this Friday when I decided to experiment with my Ecency points.
I've been using Ecency for quite a long time, yet using the points I earned is not part of my routine.
So, curious about its potential, I started by promoting one of my latest articles.
I allocated 150 points to give it a one-day boost.
I started watching it as my post gained more visibility and engagement.
I started promoting it with the $0.461 upvote.
And end after one day with $4.184.
The increased upvotes brought me excitement and a sense of achievement. 🫶
Encouraged by this success, I then turned my attention to boosting my Hive account itself.
This one is not that familiar to me.
I don't know what will happen by clicking the boost tab.
I just did it for an experiment.
So using my Ecency points — totaling 1500 — I boosted my account for seven straight days.
Suddenly, after a few minutes, Ecency sent a generous delegation of 210.159 HP (Hive Power) to my account.
This delegation significantly boosted my voting weight, making my votes more impactful and valuable.
With increased voting power, my ability to support quality content and influence rewards grew.
My upvotes now carried more weight, earning higher rewards for the content I appreciated and promoted.
Last but not least, a meaningful experiment, was when I decided to give Ecency points as a gift to someone special — perhaps a fellow creator or a loyal supporter, my hubby.
He said he wants to try boosting his account too. But his Ecency points were less than the required 1500 points for seven days.
So, I surprised him by transferring some points to show support.
His joyful reaction made me realize how powerful and personal this tool could be.
Through these experiments, I learned that Ecency points can be a way to connect, promote, and become more powerful.
This elevates my Hive experience.
