Hi, all Daily blog community! Today I'm excited to share how we took a trip to the beautiful barangay of San Ramon.

It was a bright and sunny afternoon when we decided to drive through the peaceful community of San Ramon.

‎On our ride, we could already notice how pure the air was — clean and refreshing, unlike the bustling city.

The landscape was lush and green, with rolling hills and vibrant trees.

Our destination?

‎It was our dear friend's home.

‎Upon arrival, we noticed her garden was a true haven of greenery.

But among the many plants she cared for, there was a special one.

‎Her sweet potato plant.

Its tender leaves looked lush and inviting, a testament to her care.

‎As I saw these I remember the moment when I was scrolling here in Hive, reading articles, when one caught my eye.

‎As I scanned the content, my eyes widened in shock.

‎She doesn't know that sweet potato leaves are edible.

‎Growing up here in the Philippines, sweet potato leaves are on our table all the time.

‎My lola would saute them with garlic and tomatoes, and we'd swallow them with steaming hot rice.

‎But, apparently, not everyone knows that sweet potato leaves are a culinary delight!

‎The article highlighted how to incorporate them into meals.

‎I couldn't help but chuckle at the realization that something so common in my culture was a discovery for others.

‎After recalling that, Ate Tess offered us some of her leaves.

‎Eager to taste something fresh from the garden, of course, we happily accepted.

‎My hubby carefully plucked a few tender leaves.

Back home, we boiled the sweet potato leaves.

‎Our kids enjoyed it as I served it with soy sauce dip.

‎They like it because of its uniqueness, slightly tangy flavor, and for Ryzen, he loves dipping each bite into the savory sauce, getting a taste of the simple yet delicious homegrown meal.

‎It was a perfect day.

‎We enjoyed a delicious and unexpected free sweet potato leaves for dinner!

‎Who knew our journey would lead to a perfect ending!

‎Until our next fresh food...

‎Thanks for the visit! Have a lovely day. Buh-bye. 👋🥰
