A Grocery Trip: Little Cart And Motherhood Moments

avatar

I didn’t plan to write today, but when I looked at my gallery, I realized these photos deserved a story.

‎This happened during a routine grocery shopping trip.

‎As we were about to get a regular cart, we noticed something new near the entrance.

‎It's a kids' grocery cart.

‎It was smaller, just right for a child's height.

‎I let Ryzen get one, and even the guard suggested that he should use it.

‎Ryzen didn't hesitate at all.

‎He gets one and pushes it around the store.

‎The cart had a handle for adults to hold.

‎Letting kids freely push a cart on their own might end up going home with a headache. 😅

‎It will bump into shelves and people everywhere.

‎That extra handle is like we let our children explore and enjoy, yet we're still there to guide them along the way.

‎Since Ryzen was already managing his cart that day, I decided to let him get the things he needed.

‎His milk and biscuits.

‎It's usually me who reaches for those items, but this time, I wanted him to experience what it feels like to choose for himself.

‎When we reached the biscuit section, I asked him which one he liked.

‎And he carefully looked at the choices before deciding. Once he made up his mind, I let him get the biscuit and placed it inside his cart.

‎He looked so adorable doing everything on his own. 😍

‎After that, we headed to the cashier.

‎And instead of placing Ryzen's items into our cart, we let him line up too with his own little grocery cart.

‎He felt proud standing there like everyone else, waiting for his turn.

‎After paying for the groceries, we passed by a capsule vending machine.

‎It needs four new five-peso coins to work. A total of twenty pesos.

‎As soon as Ryzen saw it, he immediately asked one.

‎Of course, my first reaction was to say no.

‎All the small toys we already have at home have been forgotten after just a day or two.

‎It felt like a waste of money.

‎But his daddy said we should let him get one.

‎So yeah. Happy child!

‎Childhood is so short, and these moments don't come back.

‎That's why these little moments are so important, and let them enjoy being children.

‎Until my next simple joys...

Thanks for the visit! Have a lovely day. Buh-bye. 💗🌸

Being a child doesn't come back again, they have to do what children do, they are curious about what adults do. But everything comes in its own time.

That's so true. Childhood is a one-time thing and they should just enjoy it while it lasts. Let them explore and ask questions coz that's how they learn and grow. 💗

We are responsible for guiding them throughout their childhood. Through games, we include them in daily activities and shape them into well-rounded individuals for the future.

Exactly! Guiding them through daily activities is like giving them the best foundation for life. ☺️
