Walking along the boardwalk (ENG/ESP)

Hello friend’s photography lovers, this is my first publication in this Visual Shots community although I am a regular reader and admirer of the high quality photographs that are presented here. I'll be honest, I have no technical knowledge of photography, but I like it very much and I always try to have a photographic memory of the places and moments lived.

Today I dare to share with you some photos of the Havana boardwalk that I took early in the morning, although it was only 8:00 am, the sun was already strong enough, predicting an intense summer day.

The Havana boardwalk is about 8 km long along the northern coast of the capital, starting from the Port and ending at the mouth of the Almendares River, right here is the Torreón de la Chorrera, an ancient fortress for the protection of the city against corsairs and pirates. The route I took was from this fortress to Paseo Avenue, about 1 km.

Hola amigos amantes de la fotografía, esta es mi primera publicación en esta comunidad de Visual Shots aunque soy asidua lectora y admiradora de las fotografías de gran calidad que aquí se presentan. Les soy sincera, no tengo conocimientos técnicos de fotografía, pero me gusta mucho y siempre trato de tener un recuerdo fotográfico de los lugares y de instantes vividos.
Hoy me animo a compartir con ustedes algunas fotos del malecón habanero que hice recientemente temprano en la mañana, a pesar de que solo eran las 8:00 am ya el sol estaba bastante fuerte, vaticinando un día de verano intenso.
El malecón habanero tiene alrededor de 8 km de longitud por toda la costa norte de la capital, comienza desde el Puerto y termina en la desembocadura del río Almendares, justo aquí se encuentra el Torreón de la Chorrera, fortificación antigua para la protección de la ciudad contra corsarios y piratas. El recorrido que realicé fue desde este torreón hasta la avenida Paseo, cerca de 1 km.

On the way I met several fishermen, this is one of the entertainments that the locals have, the best thing is that if they are successful they take food for the house.

En el camino me encontré con varios pescadores, este es uno de los entretenimientos que tienen los lugareños, lo mejor es que si tienen éxito llevan comida para la casa.

Here, in front of the Riviera Hotel we can see that the seawall is more deteriorated by the sea, this area is very low and is always hit by the sea, many floods occur and the waves reach several meters high during hurricane season.

In this area there are still remains of the old seaside resorts that existed before the seawall was built for the inhabitants to bathe in the sea, they were open pools in the rocks of the coast. At present it is not allowed to bathe in the boardwalk because of its danger.

Aquí, al frente del hotel Riviera podemos apreciar que el muro del malecón está más deteriorado por el mar, esta zona es muy baja y siempre esta golpeada por el mar, ocurren muchas inundaciones y las olas llegan a ser de varios metros de altura en tiempo de huracanes.

En esta zona aún quedan restos de los antiguos balnearios que existieron antes de que se construyera el malecón para que los habitantes se bañaran en el mar, eran pocetas abiertas en las rocas de la costa. En la actualidad no se permite bañarse en el litoral por lo peligroso que es.
