The Danger of Thinking You’ve ‘Arrived’ in Music
If you find yourself in a place where you alone feel like you are the master of all and every other person are not up to your standard, it is not always favourable because on will surely be limited to learning a lot of things especially in music and we keep learning everyday which is why we call it music. So my reason for writing this post here today is to talk about my experience in the music line and how i didnt allow post to deprive me of learning.
I use to play the keyboard as my name shows it all which is mayorkeys and after i graduated from the tertiaru institution i had to change the church which i use to go before due to change in the environment and before i graduated, i use to be the music director in my fellowship and this has made me to really go wide in music by engaging in more professional concert and also meet lot of better musical personalities.
Does that changes Me?
Most people, especially in music if they attain any high rank post, they do feel all is settled and they dont need to learn more causing a lot of using in the music world, after changing church, i was opportuned to join a church in the city which one of my close friend do attend and for me i love attending musical rehearsals, so the first time i attended the rehearsal i felt like doing more and as i continue showing, the music vibes started showing and i became the music director there.
Learning More
Even with that post, i felt it is not for me because it will distract me from doing other things and i had to buckle up and i enroll for online class where our tutor is online but a nigerian who has gained a lot of experienced, assignment are given and i do practice personally more than before so i didnt make that post of music director which i was given limit me to learning more and doing new things in terms of music.
Try to learn more because we only stpp learning when we stop breathing, and since we are still breathing, we must not cease to learn. Music is therapeutic..
