TBT::: The Day We Beat Time: A Choir Ministration Journey I’ll Never Forget
Hello my people, it's Thursday again just like yesterday and this time around i will be bringing back the memories which i have made with my friends and also choir members when i was still an undergraduate and those experiences, things we do for fun when we were there and what made it worth remembering even when we left school. So i remembered when i started or let me say when i joined the fellowship as a fresher who just got admitted into tertiary institution, I was not familiar with the style of worship there but what first got my attention and made me want to go there is the music.
Anything pertaining will always get me no matter what provided that it is done the right way, so i joined the fellowship, saw how the choir were singing and also another factor that made me want to join is the pianist, the way he played the chord and was very free on it, immediately i have the believe that i will surely improve when i joined. It was not so long, i also joined them in the choir stand and i didnt know the pianist already graduated so i was let with just communicating with him online.
Now relating with people there was another task on its own because one can't just make friends like that but have to look and check if that person has the characteristics of been called a friend. So the first friend i made in the choir was a lady who i played for when she sang and they love the way i played the keyboard, that was how i started making friends and it began to expand also and as a keyboardist i have to be available for them anytime.
We started getting invitations as student fellowship to come and perform music in programmes and there is this particular one which i can never forget and that was the reason i snapped that day. That very day when we wanted to travel, we were having issues with the bus that wanted to take us and the programme will be starting in 2 hours and we were yet to leave our place which is a journey of 3 hours but we just have the belief that we will get there soon enough. The bus started working and we left immediately for the program, the good thing about it was that the road was very good and there was no form of traffic.
We got there within 1 and half hour which i never believed will happen, we did our ministration immediately we got there because they called our name immediately and i was surprised, but we delivered well and all went so well.
So after that i decided to take pictures with my fellow choristers because they made the journey interesting and i just feel i could take countless number of picture that day because that day was very stressful and also fun because i really enjoyed it and i can never forget even as i have graduated from school, memories are the best.
