Lessons From Spending 11 Hours on a Grid Layout: Tech is Not for the Lazy

I never knew the journey is just starting and all what i have gone through when i was still learning and practicing is just a tip of an iceberg but that is what tech is all about. I remember few days ago when o wrote a post about a normal internet user who use to complain about things in the Internet now became a front end engineer and now also start to face the reality of life because the things i thought was just a peanut to do was really a great work for those in it as they might actually spend hours and length of hours just with the system.

If someone ever told me before that i will be staying at a point for a long period of time and solving complex solution and i won't want to leave there, that kind of situation happened to me yesterday and that was the reason why i decided to write the post because it is actually an inspiring story. I am currently learning front end development in a techCrush academy and i was able to join that because it is a scholarship class that will last for 3 month and for the past 2 week it has been lectures and so on then coming to the end of lectures where the real work starts and that is when different projects and assignments are will be given out.

So this past weekend we were given an assignment to design a responsive grid of different containers and a lot of people show sign of interest, the assignment is part of what will be used to grade us and seeing the assignment it look very simple while looking at the design but i know within me that this is going to be complex but i just decided to wait and see, the reason why one should always start work early is because you are not yet a professional that can finish projects within few hours so that was what helped me as I was able to start the assignment on time. I never knew it will take me wo long before i would be able to figure the solution out.

It stay in front of the laptop for hours and i didn't see a solution to start with and the frustration of pressing a code and it is not even giving you what you wanted in the live server can be very frustrating so i had to reach out to my fellow tech learners in the community and i asked for insight on how to go about it so that is why in tech space you can't journey alone and you need to go alone with like minds who have same space and interest as you, i used over 11 hours on that project and i couldn't sleep on time just because I needed to finish the project and gradually i started getting the logic for the work which we were given, all thanks to my fellow tech learner for helping out at some stage. Move with like minds to go far in tech.
