First Two Challenge I Will Tackle As The President...
It is amazing seeing Hive Naija weekly prompt edition 97. And this prompt one of them is talking about if become the president of your country what will you change, the struggle of the citizen. Honestly in a country like this which I'm from a whole lot of things to be changed and tackle at the same time. The country Nigeria was said to be the Giant of Africa but then right now my country have lost that name, we are no more the Giants of Africa. Because I believe that a giant should be known by it's attributes and displays, a giant should not be boosting mouth that he is a giant rather it should be seen from a far that this is really a Giant. Many years ago Nigeria my country used to be one of the best country in the world not just in Africa as a continent. But all of a sudden he started using her respect and her name. A country filled with natural resources, with individual with high wisdom, understanding and profitable are the same time. Nigerians are known to be hardworking and determine an exceptional wherever they are but right now nobody values the country, talk more of the seed of the country i.e people that come from the country.
If I'm opportune to become the president of this country I have a whole lot of things with tackle but then there are two first thing I should be looking at as the president. Nigeria has a lot of natural resources that can generate income and much capital to the Country. But then we don't know how to control our resources. Rather other countries come into our country and benefit from us without any development in the country but governances and leadership keep spoiling the country the most. The level of corruption in the country is too much that it will take many years even a decades to correct everything to be perfect. But then it has to start from somewhere. Cost of living in Nigeria is overwhelming and the Citizens are suffering so much hard than most of them cannot even provide a good living for themselves, most cannot feed well at all.
First, Return Fuel Subsidy. The cost of transportation in Nigeria is increasing every day by day, if Umuahia to ABA was #700 before, now it is #1,200 and one thing with our country price is that no matter what it is whenever the price up it can never come down again, especially in transportation. So Return Fuel Subsidy will go along way.. The country herself have another great mean to rich to its highest. Anyways the government can be supporting the activities in the country and assist with funds. Yes! I understand that the government is generating funds from removing Subsidy but the disadvantage to the mass is becoming much and unfavourable to the general masses. So I good attention to the cost of transportation will allow us to pay attention to cost of living...
Second, Health System. The Health system of Nigeria is very poor and it is not helping matters at all.. Every year Nigeria graduate Doctors, Nurses, Midwives, pharmacy, nutritionist, dentist, etc. but the medical practitioner choose to travel out of the country to practice because of the Health System of the country. Nigeria as a country how doing very great but to utilize what we have to the problem.. You can't imagine that we lost a patient to cold hands because there's no bed to keep a patient who involved in RTA (Road Traffic Accident). Starting From the payment and the facilities. Federal Medical Centers are no more up to the standards.. However, there are I whole lot of things that needs to be tackled and attend to, Nigeria needs a lot of hands to be better and good governance is what we pray for...

The issue with health sector is that we have qualified practitioners but the structure and support from health from the government is close to nothing. How many advanced governments hospitals are there in each state with enough qualified staffs.
I love this.
You see, the health sector is one that I have experienced, imagine the family of a patient being the one's to provide water and oxygen for a government owned hospital to carry out an operation.
But, we keep hoping for better days.
Thanks for sharing.
