RE: Xabi Alonso To Real Madrid Confirmed

You are viewing a single comment's thread:

Ancelotti's decions this season were terrible. Defense was lackluster as they were conceding goals in almost every game. 3 key first team defenders were had long term injuries but there was no major signing to replace them on fill up the gap. Even their midfield is disorganized.

Good luck to Xabi as he takes up this bigger task. I believe he knows Madrid philosophy very well. Another manager I was tipping to replace Ancelotti was Zidane who has been there before and knows a great deal about the club.

Oh my, oh my, who are you?🙂
How do you just speak my mind?😊
Lemme start from your last paragraph and show you that it relates to my own last paragraph on the subject.

One key reason that made me mention Europe is that I prefer a Zidane in that regard. He's got an uncanny coaching skill, that X-factor in his style that will strike fear in Europe.

On senior man Ancelloti, he wanted Kyle Walker on loan from Man City but the club refused and the guy went to Milan. Even a Walker is no longer at the peak of his power. So yeah Ancelotti can't be absolved of blames for this defence, infact he is totally to blame.

I watched as Raphinha toiled with Vasquez like a kid in that last match and I didn't blame Vasquez, I blamed Ancelloti. Vasquez is no defender, he's been doing well in defence through the years but signs of wear and tear started surfacing since last season, because ofcourse he's ageing.

So yeah, Ancelloti didn't handle that defence properly and the midfield too like you said. That's why I call the team porous in my note to the author above.

It's Xabi to the rescue now. You are welcome to peruse.

Cheers man.
