Drawing With Cross Hatching

20230819_131238.jpg

I tried cross hatching today after several weeks of not working with this method.

I found this photo of an American actor interesting to drawing. Looking at the high contrast with good light and shadow effect on it, I thought of using cross hatching on it which turned out to be awesome.

This style has a special way of giving a balance result on a work. I really love the result.

The piece was done with a blue ballpoint pen on a cardboard paper. Here are my steps:

I find these kind of sketch more realistic and maybe because of the way it is drawn, it's like a tiny nerve cells formed together. It's beautiful.

Yeah, it takes a great deal of practice to get a more realistic work with pen. And yeah, it's a combination of various precise strokes coming together to build desired forms.

The eyes represent everything in your art, This shows how much beauty can be brought in Art always depends on the texture of the face also because the face is the identity of the real art.
