Life as a student or worker

Are you currently a worker or student? How does it feel being what you are currently?
Presently, I am worker. While in school as a young person, there is this desire to finish schooling and get employed. Once you drop your pen after the last examination paper, your entire focus will be on getting a job.

Well it feels satisfying as worker, more especially, when you receive your first salary. You feel fulfilled and like there is no more problem in the world. However, gradually, that euphoria gradually goes away and it now dawns on you that you have graduated into another phase of life with its responsibilities and challenges. Soon that joy and satisfaction of working starts fading into oblivion. It I is then you will realize that it is a means to an end.

What challenges have you faced being a student or worker? Do you sometimes feel like giving up?
As a worker, the first 3 months of being employed is usually beautiful. You kind of have extra cash to attend to your needs and other obligations. Sooner than later, if care is not taken you will realize that it is not enough. Sometimes frustration sets in. Your lifestyle changes a bit, your taste for certains things are upgraded, dependents starts popping up from no where and everywhere.

Added to that is the constant pressure from your employer to carry out daily task. In my country, they over use the person without commensurate compensation. So much guidelines, laws and standards are provided by them which makes it even more difficult to cope with.

Sometimes, I definitely feel like giving up but when you remember your obligations, I continue to move along.

What has helped you cope these challenges you faced as a student or worker?
Remembering your moral responsibilities and other financial obligations ensures you find a way to cope and manage the pressures.

Sometimes, I take rime out in the rest room to calm down a bit. I also do my best to ignore sarcastic and angry remarks made by customer and colleagues as well as threats from employers.

I also try to keep a happy home that I will always come back to, this aids me to quickly forget about things that happens in.rhe office. I also improve on my tolerance level which helps me to absorb unexpected situations and be calm.

What's your worst memory as a student or worker?
My worst memory as a worker has always been the threat of losing my job. It is a day to be dreaded. It has happened to me once and it is no mean feat.

Waking up in the morning and heading to the office only to get a call and a letter stating that your services are not needed anymore is very painful. You start thinking about so many things that could have happened which added up to this. Sometimes you blame yourself for what happened.

It is never a good experience. This is the worst memory a person can have.
