Hello Hivers πŸ’•πŸ’˜,

In Agricultural mindset lifestyle we have a lot to offer and it also comes with a lot of benefits in terms of planting of crops and rearing of animals. This deals with the fact that there is more to learn everyday. In rabbit keeping I learned a lot which I will be sharing in my post one after the other and this goes for those who are interested in keeping rabbit as individual choices. I learned about this rabbit keeping at the earlier stage which also expose me to so many type and method of keeping rabbit. I actually practice one method because of the environment I find myself as well as the type of finance I have at the moment.

  • Keeping animals is very costly for those who actually go into one animal keeping or the other will testify to this say. When it comes to the level of feeding, you find out that you spend more on feeding and bringing them up. I have trained some animals and it is absolutely 100% true. In terms of dogs keeping you go into this breeding of animals with the hope that you will not spend much but as it is you keep on spending greatly on feeding, drugs and medications. But at the moment we are focusing on rabbit keeping.

  • Which Type Of Rabbit πŸ‡πŸ°πŸ‡ Do You Keep?

This is a question that is mostly asked even randomly within some group of people or individually. When you want to go into a particular animal keeping you need to know and understand the Genesis of keeping animals. Because it is beyond guiding them and feeding them alone. You need to make your own research as individual farmer before jumping into keeping of animals. Take for instance this rabbit keeping takes a lot of patience to rear πŸ‡πŸ°πŸ‡. I used my own as an example because these are just few among the 100 of rabbit breed we have even here in Nigeria. Some of the rabbit breed we have is the Havana black, chinchilla white, New Zealand white, Dutch rabbit, Hyla and so many other rabbit breed.

This are of different types and sizes depending on the country and the environment you find yourself. I said this because the type of rabbit they have in the United States is so much different from their ones we have here in Nigeria. This is because of the type of environment they are. So also the rabbits are different.

The type of rabbit also matters a lot because the ones you see around maybe different from the one you choose to keep. Take for instance I have some friends who are into rabbit keeping mainly and they went for the rabbit breed that are imported and costly. But meanwhile they already know what they are into because they made the cages to be conducive and related to the type of climate they have in that country. So the provided everything intact.

  • Here in Nigeria the ones you can relatively see are those that are mixed breed. This is why it is very scarce or rare for you to have a pure animal breed. You can have them only if you import them into the country and you provide a conducive environment and surrounding for them. You see mix chinchilla white, you also see mix California white, you also see mix Dutch, you also see mix Havana black

Some rabbit breed are very small in nature which makes it a very slim for farmers to crossbreed them. This is what I mean, when you see some rabbits breed you see that they are mixed color with different size, this already showed that they mate them with another type of rabbit which makes them more bigger than their initial sizes.

The ones I have here is the New Zealand white although they are also mix. I bought them sometimes ago and I'm going to breed them anytime soon. There are some criterias you need to take note before crossing your rabbit. You need more space for new set of rabbit πŸ‡πŸ°πŸ‡, you also need more time to spend with them. You also need more capital finance their feeding and so on.
