For this kind of farm production, the harvesting must be done slowly and slightly. The slowly I mean. The first thing to do is to use your fingers to trace the soil for one place to another, slowly to make sure that the turmeric roots are still intact and together as a bunch. This way make your harvesting look simpler and more faster.

This is how to harvest the turmeric root. There is no two other ways in it. Once you are able to pull up one side of the turmeric root. It will show you clearly where to lift up again from the soil.

This is just a way of harvesting the tuber crops from the soil. The way you harvest carrots, the way you harvest yam and potatoes, the way you harvest groundnut and so on. So to make your work more easier, you must follow the rules.

After checking thoroughly through the soil space, I had to start to harvest the turmeric root 🫚🫚 and tubers. This is highly necessary because when it is not harvested at the appropriate time it will start to go rotten inside the soil and get spoilt. This alone can make your farm deteriorate so fast. But when it is being harvested at the appropriate time, there will be a high profit and yield. And on the other hand, immediately you harvest this, it must go through thorough washing so that so 3 to 4 times when you wash it, it will remain extremely clean. And it will be ready for sale or for usage.

Like I said earlier the washing must be done so that it will show you the actual state and stage at which you have harvested them. This washing must be done with a very much water or plenty water. This process will help the soil particles to go down immediately you start to wash the turmeric tubers one after the other as shown in the pictures.

You can see that after each washing the turmeric tuber comes out great. Even the color comes out extremely clean. This is to tell you that there is always a procedures to follow in agriculture. And each procedures must be followed accordingly or else there will be one thing or the other malfunction.

I also took pictures of what I also found even with the turmeric root 🫚🫚. These are the premature turmeric tubers. At this Junction I prefer to harvest a whole set of turmeric because they are due for harvesting. Any thing like living them for few weeks can bring what is called no farm production. Because that will be a quick reaction between the tubers. And they will get spoilt.
