Hello Hivers ๐Ÿ’•๐Ÿ’˜,

When you're talking about farm produce it is a very good outcome of farmers sweat and labor. And in view of this we must always note that for every farmer we are born to harvest after a while which will make a lot of profit for us just like you can see it right inside the pictures in the market. The aims and objective of farmer is to produce and after few months go for harvesting then sell. This is where the buying and selling of Farm produce comes in in the market. When there is no Farm produce that will no be any traces of market.

The market nearby comprises of so many activities. When I was coming from an assignment into another state entirely then I did a stop over to check some particular Farm produce in this particular market called the Odo Oba Big Market. It has a lot of branches with different people getting involved in one market activity or the other and that was how I was able to capture a lot of activities with food items and foodstuffs. They are mainly raw foods. People rush to this particular market to source for different food items and sell in bulk or in bits. The Odo Oba market along the oyo ibadan Express way has a lot of reasons to check the market for big foodstuffs that are common and not to common. So it depends on individual on what you want to buy and sell.

  • This was one of the Maize stock shop for both retailing and buying in Bulk. I always make a lot of reasons with good motive why people go extremely so far to purchase some kind of foodstuff. The reason being that in some market it is cheap just like this very big market. It is not extremely cheap but it is more fair in price ratio and bargaining.

We are different store for yam, potatoes and the rest. As shown in the pictures. This also review that it is good to make a lot of researches with believe in making progress. There are some people who may have not know or gotten to this type of market before but this will always motivate them to do so and to explore more than the immediate environment.

Depending on the yam sizes you can see some of them that are not really big in size but they are still available for consumption b some markets men and women buy in bulk and store them for a longer period of time when it is more scarce.

  • This is for plantain and banana. The main reason why I went to this market is to try as much as possible to source for unripe plantain and banana for my mom. She is actually into consuming of unripe banana, garden egg and more. But unfortunately for me on getting to this big market the price was not too friendly because I was not buying in big quantity. That is sometimes one of the disadvantages as well.

The plantain and banana are not like those that are seen down in the west Africa Nigeria. I mean there are some states that are known for producing very big banana and plantain. When you are talking of states like osun state, ondo state and maybe part of ekiti state, they produce very much more bigger than this.

  • This is also part of the section for groundnut. The eventually pack the groundnut into bigger sizes bags and book them for a very long distance delivery. When I made inquiry on this I was told that they want to transport it to a very far destination and state called ondo state.

You can see that this is different sizes of potatoes. These are also in different sections of the market meaning that it covers a lot in the market because it is the right season for potatoes. Even when you walk to smaller market not as big as this you see a lot of potato sellers even on the street.

I planted the sweet potatoes a month ago. What's the price there in the market?

The price of the potato varies as placed in different baskets. But with a little amount you can get it for #1000 Nigeria currency. Which can be relatively in four pieces or five.

We have the same product here in our area, we also have sweet potatoes, bananas and cassava. But cassava is not as many as potatoes, we plant it as our own consumption.
