Figure It Out, Dig It Out With Skillful Method 🫚🫚 , To Reduce Alot Of Turmeric Damages. Engaging The Future Farmers In Pure Practical Farm Activities.
Hello Hivers 💕💘,
The turmeric plant has grown up so much root such that even when you harvest a little portion of the turmeric root you will see multiple roots again and that is why you need to harvest gently so that you will not damage so many other roots that are hidden in the soil. The root crops are always growing more fertile when it is been planted on a very good healthy soil. With the more pictures below you see that I use my finger to trace more route so that I can uproot them one after the other.
I actually pointed to more route even when I have done a lot of harvesting for a while. Giving back to the nature which is called a full maturity stage happened when you continually observe that the turmeric plant has dry leaves. This is one thing about natural planting. You will equally see the differences as it grows.
At one corner side I also cited the turmeric plant that already sprout out. I could remember that once in a while I always had a lot of water. I had a lot of water at some point not knowing that it will generate new plant coming up. And I took the picture as you can see it.
If I actually want to make another new generation turmeric plants or Farm from this it's absolutely easy this way. What I will do is to carefully remove the ones that are already sprout out on their own then put them inside a nursery section. Or inside a cellophane bag. Then I also had a lot of soil. By doing this it will continue with natural growth but with a lot of caution and observations. And that's all.
- The harvesting continues and we keep digging up more fresh turmeric roots as its produce. My little kids they were interested in also harvesting it and it was done by them. I left it for them to carry out the remaining harvesting although I was there to monitor and to supervise it.
You can see that they arresting of turmeric took us a while because you need a lot of patience I more professional and to harvest it if you don't want the turmeric to cut into pieces or even have any traces of damages.
We needed to finalize the harvesting because its took a while to dug them out and this is because they saw is absolutely dry but on the other hand I did not want to add water at all so that it will not start another form of dimension in growth.
I also noticed that the man will remove bunches of turmeric roots from the soil there are more traces of more smaller ones coming up that are not really attached to the main turmeric root. It is so obvious that when you plant it you can harvest more than enough using this method. It may seems complicated but that is the truth because I have done it in a practical way.
The fact that I used one Bowl for this turmeric planting also reduced its production in the sense that. If I met the cultivation of the turmeric to be more elaborate then we will have harvested more than a very big paint rubber at least.
It took the kids more time to discover more turmeric roots because of they are learning more and they needed to learn gently and gradually. You can also see the excitement in them participating in Farm activities. That is one thing I also learned again that as also help me till today. Engaging in practical application on the farm.
- At some point I wanted to help the kids but I later thought of it twice that it is what the kids know and practice that will sink into their memory. There is no better moment than now. And that was how I also started as well. The need to be more patient while being on the farm with the kids is highly necessary so that they will carry out the task themselves and know how it is been done.
- This was when the harvesting was going on again and we gathered this up from our harvest.

Matthew is a farmer and lover of Hive. HIVE has really helped my life to grow more healthier than I was, HIVE testimony. I'm a Dad, husband and a hustler. Farmer who loves animals, he practice what he preaches . He is also a Photographer, Traveller , Mr Chef ( Loves Cooking) and above all, he is a blogger and a vlogger♣️♠️
If they keep up this practice by the age of 15 they'll be the one taking over the farm, while you sit back and give them instructions. .
Hahahaha. Lol 🤣😆, actually you are saying the truth but I was not trained up like that. Even when we were doing the farm activities at a very tender age my late Dad also join us on the farm to sort out so many things while we also work as well. So it is vice versa, no rest while on the farm. @fredaig
ohh wow so your experience and love for agriculture has been from childhood. ?
They look happy helping Daddy out. While it looks like they are catching fun now helping you out in the farm, they will surely grow to appreciate this sir.
Smile 😍😍. That's life. That's why Agriculture is never a waste or play. While you play as well. You work. While you work. You play. @ozd
