You are invited to "Varadero" beach [Eng/Esp]

Hello friends of Hive and this great community @worldmappin, how are you? I'm Matías and I'm here for the first time to share with you a tour we did with my family to Playa el Agua in Margarita Island in Venezuela, which is where I live, specifically we went to a part of that beach that they call Varadero.

Playa el Agua is one of the beaches most sought after by tourists who come on vacation, although since they removed all the restaurants that were on the shore of the beach, almost everyone goes to Playa Parguito, which is also in the municipality where I live and closer to my house, but that day we decided to go to Playa el Agua for a while.

This beach is one of my favorite beaches, especially the beginning part which is where we were going, but my dad missed the entrance and instead we ended up almost at the end of Playa el Agua which as I told you is called Varadero.

In this part of the beach there were not many people, and it is almost always like that, it is very quiet, and there is a lot of sand and space to play and spend fun times with the family, there are many palm trees but they are a little far from the sea, and sometimes it worries to leave things alone there, but as there are not many people nothing happens, but you have to be aware.

In this part of the beach you can't get awnings or chairs because there are no hotels, they are all at the beginning of the beach and there are many awnings, tables, chairs and everything to have a good time, and if you go for a long time it is better to go to that part, but we decided to stay in Varadero because my mom also likes to be without many people and that is the perfect part if you also like to be without so many people.

I don't mind because since I arrive I don't get out of the water which is neither too cold nor too hot, it is almost always crystal clear, but I recommend you to be careful because on this beach there is a lot of current and it can be dangerous even for people who know how to swim, and sometimes you get distracted and the current drags you and it happens a lot on that beach.

Another thing that you will surely like about this beach is that different species of sea turtles that are in danger of extinction nest there and there are several nests that are cared for by state agencies and some foundations that protect their nests and take care of the eggs until they hatch.

There were two areas that were fenced to protect them. In a small area that was closed by a tape there were about 5 nests that had some nets and all of them had some signs inviting us to take care of the turtles and also the dates.

The other part was much larger and was protected by a wooden fence and inside there were several nests with their nets and the best thing is that there are always people taking care of the nests.

This work is done every year in different beaches of the island, and two of them are close to me, this one in Playa Varadero and another one in Playa Parguito. The people who protect these areas have a very important job and the best part is that they make announcements on their social networks at the time of the hatching of the eggs so that everyone can enjoy the experience.

A few years ago, together with my sister, we had the opportunity to free some baby turtles with our own hands in this place that I show you today. That was a very special experience, as well as very important to preserve the different species of turtles that nest on this beach that if you are in Margarita or come on vacation you have to visit.

Hola amigos de Hive y de esta gran comunidad @worldmappin, cómo se encuentran? Soy Matías y vengo por primera vez para compartirles de un recorrido que hicimos en famila por Playa el Agua en la Isla de Margarita en Venezuela que es donde yo vivo, específicamente nos fuimos a una parte de esa playa que por aquí le dicen Varadero.

Playa el Agua es una de las playas que más buscan los turistas que vienen en vacaciones, aunque desde que quitaron todos los restaurantes que estaban en la orilla de la playa, casi todo el mundo se va a Playa Parguito, que también queda en el Municipio donde vivo y más cerca de mi casa, pero ese día decidimos ir un rato a Playa el Agua.

Esta playa es una de mis playas favoritas más que todo la parte del inicio que era ñara donde íbamos, pero mi papá se pasó la entrada y en vez de eso terminamos casi en la parte final de Playa el Agua que como les dije se llama Varadero.

En esta parte de la playa no había mucha gente, y casi siempre es así, es muy tranquila, y hay muchísima arena y espacio para jugar y pasar momentos divertidos con la familia, hay bastantes palmeras pero están un poco lejos del mar, y a veces preocupa dejar las cosas solas ahí, pero como no va mucha gente no pasa nada, pero hay que estar pendiente.

En esta parte de la playa no se consiguen toldos ni sillas porque porque no hay hoteles, todos están al principio de la playa y ahí sí hay muchos toldos, mesas, sillas y todo para pasar un buen rato, y si vas por bastante tiempo es mejor ir a esa parte, pero nosotros nos decidimos quedarmos en Varadero porque también a mi mamá le gusta estar sin mucha gente y esa es la parte perfecta si también te gusta estar sin tanto bochinche de personas.

A mi me da lo mismo porque desde que llego no me salgo del agua que no es ni muy fría ni muy caliente, casi siempre está muy cristalina, pero les recomiendo tener cuidado porque en esta playa hay mucha corriente y puede ser peligroso hasta para las personas que saben nadar, y a veces uno se distrae y la corriente te arrastra y en esa playa pasa mucho.

Otra cosa que seguro les va a gustar de esta playa es que ahí desovan distintas especies de tortugas marinas que están en peligro de extinción y hay varios nidos que están cuidados por organismos del estado y algunas fundaciones que protegen los nidos de ellas y cuidan los huevos hasta que eclosionen.

Había dos espacios que estaban cercados para poder protegerlos. En una zona un poco pequeña que estaba cerrada por una cinta había como 5 nidos que tenian unas mallas y todos tienen unos letreros que nos invitan a cuidar de las tortugas y también las fechas.

La otra parte era un mucho más grande y estaba protegida por una valla de madera y adentro habian varios nidos con sus mallas también y lo mejor es que siempre hay personas cuidando los nidos.

Este trabajo lo realizan todos los años en diferentes playas de la isla, y dos me quedan cerca, este que está en Playa Varadero y otro en Playa Parguito. Las personas que protegen estás zonas tienen un trabajo muy importante y la mejor parte es que realizan anuncios en sus redes sociales a la hora de la eclosión de los huevos para que todos puedan disfrutar de la experiencia.

Hace unos años junto con mi hermana tuvimos la oportunidad de poder liberar con nuestras propias manos a unas tortuguitas en este lugar que les enseño hoy. Esa fue una experiencia muy especial, además de muy importante para preservar las diferentes especies de tortugas que desovan en esta playa que si están en Margarita o vienen de vacaciones tienen que ir a visitar.
