The role of social media in education tool or distraction
Hello, Hive learner community it has been a while since I wrote a post here, and feels good to be a member finally I can freely write my post to my heart's content I will be using this medium to greet the admins and MOD of Hive learner and also appreciate them for approving of being a member of this wonderful community.
I will be talking about today's prompt on whether social media is a good idea or a bad idea been studied in the current school, let start by each and everyone has their opinion on whether been good or bad social media should be studied in our present school now.
Well I will be sharing my aspect of what social media should be either good or bad and I will be highlighting some points:
Present Situation Now on Social Media
The use of social media now in our daily life is not a necessity I do not feel like to are studying in school anymore there is a theory saying social media is part of us I have witnessed a year-old operating phone rather than being tuned in to modern technology from their henceforth gradually learning how to use the phone during this ir growth so it a thing every kid of this generation adapts to how to use.
The Impact of social media to student
Social media to student in one way they can get to benefit the form of learning quickly
through phone, videos, and so on for example some kids best way of learning is through watching video, some might be in images of Cartoon education teaching, each kid have the way of adapting to educational teaching mostly kids hate reading rather they enjoy learning online rather than carrying their book to read I believe am making sense here.
The Use of Social Media against our Kids
Social media in the other aspect can be considered dangerous in which way as I stated in my first point a kid that started learning how to operate phone from one year the kid get to a certain age he or she will be corrupt into checking sexual activies or seeing sexual activities online which is not good such kid shouldn't be allowed to touch the phone from a young age at they should be guided on how to use one not them learning it the other way round.
Social media has taken over everything now to the extent we can't do without it and it made technology so advance even in school now assignment information are being passed down on social media
Example:
We get to received information from lecturer through our phone and also from course representative even if assignment been given we even get to make contact with our lecturer if they are not arround through whatsapp even assignment been done with the help of Meta AI so many school activities are going on through these platform.
In conclusion social media been studied at school can be either be good or bad depending how we see it, it has to be some tends to take advantage and be corrupted by what they see that influence them on social media while some get to use it as a source of getting answer to unanswered questions at school, home, and so on it either the way we view it our opinion can reflect on what social media can be good or bad.

You have shared important concerns, such as that at such an early age, with just 1 year a child already looking at social networks. In my opinion an education is needed before anyone enters social networks. That is like trying to handle a car without practicing, surely you will have an accident. It is necessary education in the first instance by the parents and then reinforce it with the support of a teacher, showing the correction use and the dangers of social networks, and this not only for the students, but for the family of the involved also, regardless of age.
For me, educational reform is necessary.

I think it's a wise decision, It would help students navigate social media safely, avoid online dangers, and maintain good mental health but it depends on which side we view it, it may either be a good one or a bad one
