A choice, necessity or financial burden
Hello Hive Learners Community, What I think about medical checkup been compulsory is a unfavorable and favorable one it depends the aspect where we view it from.
But when I meant favorable it also depends if the medical check up is free or not nowadays we know how medical is really expensive, imagine me going to a hospital and complain for common malaria before you know if I will be hospitalized at first and secondly the drugs am going to take the cost alone could send back malaria out of my body instantly.
But where am getting to is if the medical checkup is free I don't see the reason why we shouldn't go for a checkup we get sick sometimes we might be okay on the outside but not okay inside and before you know it you suddenly died and the people around you will be like but this man was okay yesterday how come he just pass away so soon like that, anyway the point is going for medical checkup if it been compulsory to do and is been free it will save a lot of lives in which way if they can afford the fees for treatment thats when it helps to save lives, we can know which part of our body needs attention and to heal but if it as paying taxes like going for checkup and some has to spend money in order to check themselves in the hospital not so many Nigerians can afford it, yeah it true so many Nigerians can't even pay taxes not to talk of going for medical checkup normally it a nice idea going for checkup but the question is can it really stop the death flow of people dying each day?
Ok let's put it this way I am mentally okay I decided to go to the hospital for checkup and I am able to afford the fees for checkup and I was been check and was told this is what is doing me I have to come check my self in hospital and be treated lets say malaria for example at the long run I didn't show up to the hospital to get malaria treated because I can't afford the bills due to I was not able to afford the bills somewhere on the line my enemy died not me God forbid! So tell me what should we call that cause the issue here is doctor wont treat person without paying the bills i was able to afford the checkup bills and was not able to afford the medical bills in time
My point is some cant even afford to put 3 square meal on the table not the less pay taxes if they decided to make it official it just wasting of time cause if they cant afford they cant kill themselves to pay the bills or something they should be prepared to have big jail to put so many people medical checkup is a choice that someone has to make not been forced on someone to do, if you referring okay cause they come for checkup it can help to save lives and they can know where is wrong in their body but what if they cant afford the fees to pay for treatment or even the checkup i just see it pointless it doesn’t make sense government imposing it on people it can be fair if it free whether we treat it or not it should be our choice to make except they cover that part of expenses also.
Thanks for taking your time to read my post i hope to see you again @mathewdaddywah blog.

Being a resident of low developing country, I completely agree to points put forward by you. Economic condition has alot to do with habit of medical check ups and making them free is only solution to promote them. Otherwise bread always win over medicine
Still health should be made a first priority and check up should be done every year.
Okay thanks for your thoughts
That's the fear attached to checking up. Most people left for medical care and were kept on hold just because of some kind of sickness in their body. What if that person does not have Medicare to take care of that sickness immediately? This is why the government must also get involved.
Yes but government are something else they can avoid thats aspect it them they do and undo
True it one of the disadvantages of this implementation is that it might be very expensive and so not everyone might be able to afford it
Yeah thabks for sharing your thoughts
