To conditionally format an entire row in Excel based on a single cell's condition (e.g., if cell A1 = "Yes", highlight the row):

  1. Select the range (e.g., A1:Z100 for rows 1-100).
  2. Go to Home > Conditional Formatting > New Rule > "Use a formula to determine which cells to format".
  3. Enter the formula: =$A1="Yes" (use absolute column reference $A, relative row for the range).
  4. Choose your format (e.g., fill color) and click OK.
