Turning My Idleness into Joyful Moments

Yeah, I agree that a busy person finds it boring whenever she sees herself not doing anything at all. In one way or another, we all have been in that state where we see ourselves doing nothing.

My work has been very hectic lately. Working from morning till 6pm from Monday till Saturday won't have me have me beinh im any idle moments, but at the same time, having Sunday as the only work-free day leaves me with lots of fun.

Many people, when they see you staying in a work space resting, they tag it as joblessness. Since we have our madam always, there are always no dull moments in the shop for us. But my 24 hours on Sunday obviously do come with some moments of boredom.

Whenever I feel bored at home and nothing I do tends to satisfy me at that point, what I do immediately is get a seat and sit on the veranda watching what's happening in the environment. Watching bikes, cars, and kids riding bicycles is enough to keep my mind occupied and away from negative things running through my mind.

I remember one Sunday I was all home alone. I was tired of lying on the bed; I needed to feel alive and just different from the dull and boring mood, so I grabbed a seat and went to watch the road. My experience that day was wonderful.

I was sitting when I met two kids riding a bicycle. The senior refused to allow the younger one to ride, and that was how they started having petty queries. I was just watching them with a smile on my face. That brought back my childhood memories, and I wished I could return to those past years. As I kept observing, I noticed everything wasn't going well again, and I was forced to step out.

Sitting out got me active. I was able to intervene and settle their misunderstanding. I could see the joy on the eldest face. That feeling when you feel like the emperor and someone comes to calm your nerves and make you feel special with your good words.

That day wasn't just the first day of sitting out. My unique method of fighting boredom is sitting out and just watching; it's one way I connect with people within my environment.

Another thing that can help me out of boredom is making plans for my future plans. Instead of just being idle and feeling bored. I make sure I engage my mind by thinking of ways to achieve my business plans. While doing this, I find myself busy. I can never get bored with this mechanism.

When I have drawn the mental maps on how to go about all my plans and I'm still left with nothing to do, all I do is begin a solo drama. I just see myself playing different roles in one.

Sometimes, I don't necessarily have to get up; I can be in just one spot; anyone hearing me would think I'm inside with someone. While anyone might think I'm going insane, for me, it's one way I keep my brain alive and let time pass.

Your Sunday sit out was really impactful, children can have misunderstanding over little things and it needs the presence of an adult to straighten up things.

One don't just need to be busy always. Thanks for a good writing

It's nice to take time to have fun his which ever way you choose. For me, I take football matches during the weekends very seriously to kill boredom.

Finding attractions and distractions is one way of killing boredom and in addition to easing your idle mind, you were a salvation to the duo who struggled over the bicycle ride. Thank you for sharing. It's good to cool one's mind with some outdoor activities.
