The Good and Bad of Hive

Without having to start with the story of what we already know. I will just put it in short: Hive is an amazing place for everyone who wants to learn, relearn, and unlearn. Being a decentralized platform that connects people together with lots of benefits, it also has some bad sides. With my experiences on Hive, Hive has its good and bad sides.

One of the most amazing things about Hive is that users can share their knowledge and earn rewards both in dollars and in cryptocurrency. It is a room for open conversation without any form of privacy. Users can write, comment, and see the activities of others in the community, making it a transparent platform.

Another good thing about Hive is that it gives everyone room to share his or her thoughts, ideas, and beliefs without fear of being blocked. There is nothing like being blacklisted unless one goes against the rules set up on the blockchain. Plagiarism is highly prohibited on Hive, and it is something that shouldn't be promoted by anyone because that is stealing.

When I joined Hive, I was able to find so many communities in which I could function effectively, and that's another great thing I love about Hive. There are lots of communities to explore and belong to. Finding a niche is the best thing if one wants to do well on Hive.

The Bad Sides of Hive

One thing I experienced as a newbie on Hive was understanding how to go through the ecosystem. A new user who is not an experienced internet user would find it difficult to understand the idea behind upvotes, how to join communities, participate in contests, and earn some token rewards. This difficulty can be discouraging to lots of newbies who don't have good upliners who would be willing to carry their downlines along.

When I started earning on Hive, I had to ask my upliner what happened when my earnings decreased, and that was when I understood that earnings also depreciate when Hive does. It can be saddening to see an earned reward go down in value.

If I want to write on areas that need improvement, I would say the first should be making the whole registration process simpler and the overall interface more user-friendly for new users to understand. Just recently, I noticed the registration process on Ecency is now easier than it was before. That is a great improvement and a plus. With improvements on the bad sides, Hive can be a better place for users and even new users.
