First Time On Air

Hi distinguished personalities, I'm here to share with everyone the decision I have made and the positive impact it took on me. This year, to me, makes a significant difference because there was a super-sudden change in my way of life, so come along as I share with you.

This year I was opportune to be a graduate, and I barged my first degree, of course; it's everyone's dream to successfully accomplish their dream, but to me I found it as a normal part of life with my optimistic character. I significantly made a choice of serving in the North.

Throughout my entire stay in school, I have always wanted to explore places, survey, and many other things, but it seems impossible because of some reasons, due to security challenges faced by some parts of my country.

I have always been restricted to staying my entire life in the South, so I single-handedly choose to serve my father's land in the North (NYSC). Although it was a thoughtful decision, many of my family and loved ones rejected my suggestions, but to me the decision is already made and the journey completed in my mind and thought.

So it's a win-win game for me. I have so many calling me aside if I can still change my mind, but the same questions have the same answer; that's what I do give them. Till my departure date, I booked my tickets at our state's airport (Uyo to Bauchi).

It was my first time on air, though, but regardless, I tried to compose myself and be at my climax character. So I chose to book first class, passenger seat and forgetting about business class, the price was contrastingly different, and within me I never wanted economy. The date set aside for the journey came, and I was escorted by almost all of my family members.

I know I would miss them, but I have to change my environment, I said within me, and I have to explore one of my greatest dream states, Bauchi State, because of the story I have heard about it: it's rocky, green, and has nature. So, I arrived at the departure, and our flight was 45 minutes ahead. I was given a seat tag and was given some refreshments.

We were ready to fly, and I was seated comfortably, and unbeknownst to me, I was seated beside the wife of the Auditor General, Bauchi state. So I went into a chit-chat with her and started telling her how I have loved to visit Bauchi State and how NYSC has made it possible.

She smiled and responded, "You are welcome to our tourism state," and she revealed her identity. We went into discussion; I was happy meeting her as she told me lots of places that would make my stay in Bauchi exciting. Before I knew it, we were already in Bauchi.

On our arrival, a police escort were already waiting for her with lots of security personnel to welcome her back home, and she invited me to come along with her. I was so happy and I was looking for what to say and appreciate her, but she held me and helped me walk as a twin.

I said to myself inwardly, entering an airplane and being escorted by an SUV Prado, I was so happy but I was restricted to taking pictures. Regardless, I was still very happy, so days after, I was invited to come and visit the Gubi Dam and have a nice moment, which I did. How it changed my life meeting this personality, it was a great turnaround for me. I could say that better opportunities have been aligned with it.
