A friend of mine, who is a plumber, helps me out on occasions when I have problems with my family house's plumbing system. Today, my mom wanted to use the bathtub, but the water flow wasn't responding. She called me, and I tried fixing it myself, but my efforts seemed as futile as mixing rice and sand – yielding no results but wasting time.
I picked up my phone and called my friend, explaining everything. He told me the tap needed replacement, not repairs. He mentioned he was busy, but if I could purchase the needed materials, the fix would be quicker.

I set out that morning, walking through the streets in search of a plumbing shop. After about fifty five minutes, I finally found one. I acquired the necessary materials, except for the metallic pipe and rust inhibitor, which the sales boy directed me to another place to obtain.
When I arrived there, the shop was still closed because it was a bit early 7:36AM, so I had to wait until the shop owner arrived to purchase the two items.
By the time I got home, I saw my friend waiting for me, and I let out a sigh of relief. He was able to fix the tap, and now it could easily pass water.
I wonder why the pipes and faucet had to be replaced. Did your friend tell you?
