DIY on how I made this beautiful gown for my friend has new year gift

Greetings to all my creative’s friends on hive and diyhub community happy new year to you all I pray this year will be a blessed and a better year for me and you🙏🏼.

I’m happy to be alive today to see 2026 and to be able to share my first post of the year, today I will love to show you all this stylish free bubu gown with elastic at the back and it’s has a side slit on both side, I made it for my friend has a new year gift and she was happy when she got the dress .

Cutting step

The style doesn’t have much cutting step and it very easy to cut and sown, firstly I folded the material into two to cut the front first because the material is slinky and very soft so it was not easy to stay on the cutting table after that I measure the full length of the dress then I measured the shoulder to sleeve then I cut out the neckline.

Next step

I folded the remaining material to cut the back the only difference is the neckline and afterwards I cut out two inches band and 18”lengths and I inserted the elastic then weave it and turn the neckline then I iron it and it look beautiful and sexy .
