Wednesday Walk—Our CDS Visit To The King's Palace.
Hello family, my greetings to everyone on here, this is my first time posting in the Wednesday Walk community. I'm so excited to be a part of you and I hope y'all will welcome me warmly.

Well, I've always loved the way I see people post on here about there Wednesday walk, and it's been amazing with beautiful pictures too. But, I'm more of the indoor type and I rarely take pictures. But then, I went for my National Service and I had to relocate, I am a teacher where I'm posted too. But then, we always do community service once in a week, and that has forced me to be going out.

We walk, but then, it goes beyond just walking, we walk and clean the environments, pick dirts up and the likes. And I happen to be the coordinator for that. So, look forward to see more of me hear as I will be sharing the photos taking as we walk and also cleanup along the way. Some of the market women gave us nylons as some of us do not have gloves.

This week, we went to the Kings place, he's knows as the, "O igbeti of Igbeti land." And as part of our routine sanitation program. We would start from a place somehow far to the main location, we will all be dressed in our uniform and walk all the way down to the main location, meaning we have to pick up dirts as we move. And to get there, we have to pass through the market. So, we clean as we make out way down to the Kings Palace.

So, that has given me the chance to share with you what we do as we walk and for me to also appreciate and see a typical Wednesday morning in rural Nigeria. So sorry, I should have shared this yesterday.

We arrived at the palace, but the guards didn't allow us to take pictures, so we cleaned and asked to greet the king, but he was taking a nap as at the time, so we couldn't see him. It was later the head guard saw us and he said there's nothing wrong with us taking pictures. So, we took a group photo.

And by the time we are done, the place was neat and very inviting. It was some walk filled with purpose and community spirit.

Thank you for reading my first Wednesday Walk. Since this will be done every week, I look forward to sharing more soon!
