Science Is More Than A Subject: From Soiless Agriculture To Energy To All Areas Of Life.

While growing up, since was one of those subjects we were being forced to know or rather memorize, talking about periodic tables, various diagrams, different laws and all. I did not really count much meaning to it, not until later that I realize that science is literally everything. Everything, just think of it, your phone, the calls, the way you connect, the machines, engines and all, its science, going to the rain fall, the way plants grow and all, science is literally everywhere. It his definitely shaping our world today.

During one of my time in school, we were asked to do a project, we were asked to plant vegetables and all, personally I have grown fond of agricultural stuffs, so I do watch and read a lot about it, we have been taught on soiless agriculture before, but we did not practicalize it, and me, have went to read and watch how it works, so we were asked to grow vegetables and while the others buried seeds in the soil, I decided to try what I have been taught, what I have read and watched...

So I went the soiless way "hydroponics", it is a method of growing plants without soil, if you are hearing it for the first time, its real, that's science. I had this kind of mindset that even if it won't or didn't work, I will still try it out, my supervisor will definitely commend me for at least trying. So I went to buy a plastic big bucket with cover(not the circular shaped one, more of rectangular or square shape), some little cups, those disposable ones, cut some areas on the cover, dip those cup in, made some little holes on the cup and all, after some trial errors, and I was being laughed at by my mates, after some weeks, it surfaced, it stood tall, and looks very green, it even grew faster than those who planted in the soil. From that experience I knew science is really deep, it is more than the textbooks we read, science is a tool for innovation.

I began to learn more out of curiosity in soiless agriculture...taking about hydroponics, aquaponics, aeroponics. I got to know that we can plant without soil, just the nutrients and a medium to anchor their roots. Science can actually solve problems, imagine a lot of us knew this, we would all have a lot planted on our balconies, rooftops, and some free spaces, we won't have to depend that much on rain or start tilling poor soil.

There won't be enough time to discuss on agriculture alone, so let's check out other things, let's talk about power supply, what would it be like to have an uninterrupted power one that will be constant, noiseless and all, that's where science came in again, science brought those ones too, but science went deep again and came out with solar energy. Science has given us an option, if we can make good use of the solar power that shines down on us on a dialy basis, our energy problems will reduce drastically.

Talking about entertainment too, science shows, we all watch movies, we see how artificial intelligence helps, and all, even in real life, we see robots assist the elderly, helps doctors in theater, run errands, obeys instructions and all, it's all science. See the way AI has gone too, Ai assist with a lot of things, they write, create/generate images, translate and even help us. A lot of people make use of it today, so what's AI, its science.

We speak to people very far away, we connect with people we've never for once met, its all science, we do money transfers, we use GPS to find our way to or out of unknown places, its all science, talk about medical works too, science is literally everywhere, just that its often invisible at some places doesn't mean its not there.

Science is not just for doctors, astronauts, engineers and all, science ifls for all, for students, for farmers, for mechanics, for all. And I very much love science, it always shows me that I can do better, that theres still more, that a lot is still left to be tapped into..
