My Heartfelt Leadership Vision For Nigeria.

Becoming the president of this great country Nigeria means I would be carrying the weight of over 200 million dreams/population on my shoulders. All the cries of the little childrens, the frustration in the eyes of the unemployed graduates, the desperate needs of parents who can't afford to feed thier families and all would be what I would wake up to every morning.

All these are not just things that I have seen, but I have felt them, I have lived through it all, I have watched people go through worse, all because the system we so much trusted gave us nothing in return. Taking over the presidential seat will be two things for me, just two aims and that is restoring dignity and reviving the people's hope.

This country is bleeding, the whole citizens are feeling the pain, worst part is we all seem to always adjust to whatever shift it takes. Everyday we see long queues at the filling stations, increase in fuel price, we see mother's who lost their babies in hospitals because there’s no light or no doctor on duty( I have experienced this personally, rotating just one oxygen for five patients, postponing surgery date's every week due to lack of electricity, oxygen, water and fuel).

Today, we find out that a lot of our young people are running abroad, not because they hate Nigeria, but because Nigeria has shown them that staying means choosing pain over progress. Some weeks back, a friend of mine, a very brilliant and hardworking lady, she had to sell her laptop just to be able to feed her siblings, I know her well, she works, but what could have led to that, the country has disappointed her, you receive very little for your hardworks. How and when do we get here? Also, why are we still here?

As the president, I would begin by combating and tackling the issues of unemployment (job creation) and hunger(food security). What do you expect a hungry man to do, he won't be able to think straight, he can't have plans talkless of a dream he would want to work towards or achieve. All good, I studied agricultural technology, so my administration will channel more resources into reviving agriculture and empowering local industries, also my administration will help train our youth not just with great skills.

Also, my administration will make sure to deal with corruption, we would open door's that have been locked by godfatherism. There won't be room for preferred tribe or religion to hold a position, as long as you are qualified, you are fit.

Also, my administration will definitely deal with the broken/shattered educational system. This country puts little into education, our lectures go month's without getting paid, there are month's of strike, even students that graduate are graduating into hopelessness. So, what's the essence of schooling when a four to five years course takes you seven to eight years all because lecturers don't get paid and are on strike. My administration will make sure to address this, we will rebuild our schools, invest and pay our teachers well and also make sure our children are not just learning, but becoming.

Most time's, I get scared, I see how we've learnt to always adapt and have also normalized pain is in our society. If there's a bomb blast or a kidnap, just give it a week or two, it fades, we just shout and argue for few days and that's all, we stop bothering if justice were served or not, one happened here in my state recently (Kwara state), this guy literally murder'd/butcherd his claim fiancee, it was all over the news and social media's, but where is it now, we heard nothing of it again.

That's the country we live in, and it worries me that our leaders are still dinning while the streets burn, they keep silent as we groan and they laugh while we the citizens cry. I wonder if they knew how it feels to watch a loved one die because the hospital demanded a deposit before touching them or because a govern owned hospital lacked necessary equipments. If I am opportuned to sit in that chair, am serious, I won't forget where I came from, because that is what will make and help me do what's right.

I wrote this with a heavy heart, if you follow it all through, you will see, meaning this is more than just a writeup, this is my soul pen down in words. I want a better Nigeria, I want a change, I want transformation, I want peace for all. One that would reach the most rural areas, I want a country where good education is available for all, anyone can aim to become a doctor, every state will experience peace, a country where their would be a stable power supply. We all deserve better. Maybe it won't change so suddenly, but we can start from somewhere with leader's who still feels and remember where they come from.

Thanks for taking your time to read through, kindly do well to stop by my blog for more amazing contents.
