My Dog's Secret Dreams.

If you had asked me this question some two to three years ago, I would have said, "no, I don't believe pets dream." But something proved me wrong. I have a dog named Dubby, I don't even know how I came about the name, but I just love the way I call, "Dubby Dubby..." and it comes wagging it's tail. But this particular afternoon, Dubby in all of his stubbornness actually proved me wrong and taught me a whole new thing about the pets world.

It was a different kind of Saturday because everywhere is unnaturally quiet and calm, weekends are always busy with kids around all playing and shouting, but on theis particular day, everywhere was just quiet and Dubby was sleeping there by the feet of the chair I was sitting on. He had just finished eating so he slept off. I was just there scrolling through my phone when I heard some grumblings, I looked at him and saw him acting a little bit uncomfortable while still fast asleep, I just thought this was normal, not long after his paws moved as he growled silently, I was a bit scared at first.

I was just there watching him not knowing what was wrong or what to do, not long after he gave a quiet bark, opened it's eyes, wagged his tail and closed his eyes back almost immediately. The scene was a little bit hilarious, it felt like he was chasing something in his dream.

After a while, he made another growl and almost immediately he sprung up and gave a very loud and sharp bark. He looked around maybe confused or looking for something, I can't say, the it rested his gaze on me as if I had interrupted something or I was a threat, his eyes were different. I stared back at him and slowly his eyes began to calm, I patted his head as he sit back down.

That was the day I believe that pets dream too. They play, they eat, they grow, they run and do most of the things that we humans do too, so it does make sense if they dream as well.

Now, anytime I see Dubby or any pet sleeping, I can't help but wonder what kind of adventure he's on again, maybe a good or scary one. I wonder if he's dreaming of being on a race,.or chasing cats, or contending with me and all, one thing is sure though, pets dreams too.

The name of a dog is what makes the experience sweet, I love the connection you have with your dog it seems that he trusts you. Nice write-up

I don't have any pet at the moment but I know that they are very lovely and they bond well with the owners especially dog. Someone said dogs can feel what the owner is passing through

You're right about that, dogs are very beautiful and lovely pets to have around. Yeah, have that too, most of the time when you passing through a certain amount phase and looking all sad, you will find them lying next to you, looking at you as if trying to reassure and encourage you.

Dubby wanted to scare you a bit that day. Actually, as you rightly said, these animals also have experiences similar to humans, they breathe, grow, feel pain and joy as well as dream. Thank you for sharing.
